I love that the intro is not a song with lyrics. But music that tells so much, give us feel and atmosphere for the series to remember for a long time.

What I've always found interesting about this opening is how it steadily becomes remarkable as you continue to watch the episodes. In episode 1, I didn't really pay too much mind to the opening, I found it boring and skipped it. 70 episodes in and it just was magnificent to hear, especially the tune that plays when showing Johan growing up.

I love how each character had their own little things to them, like how grimmer had the magnificent Steiner, and Eva had her obsession with Tenma, and lunge trying to think like the enemy and his keyboard fingers, even though in the end they all overcame these and moved on, God bless all the souls who were losts...SPOILERS AHEAD!!! RIP: Martin Reest, Richard Braun, the fortners, the Liberts, General Helmut volfe, Milan Kolas, Wolfgang Grimmer, and yes even Peter Capek, and Franz Bonaparta, yes those last two had done bad, but they were mislead and were people who just had one bad day, without realising it, until they had already let the monster go into the world.

at first I didn't like this opening, it seemed to be very simple, as I got involved with the anime I found this opening better and better. I consider it the best anime opening, it's a shame the loop is so short.

I'm currently at episode 15. I searched for this and the thumbnail was just too eye catching. I fell in love with the music too when I heard it the first time. This image looks so good with the music playing. Everything here perfectly sums up what I've seen so far. I stopped watching anything I was watching for this lol. Nothing was more intriguing than this.

It took me about 25+ episodes to start noticing the distorted laugh at around 0:50 -> Things weren't the same after that...

1-10 seconds of theme is very underated

I listen to this everywhere & when listening I think of German girls dressed in nurses, church nuns curing kids & later sacrifying some creepy rituals, and think of other insane stuffs!(Its the anime maybe)

I especially adore the more chorus-based parts at 0:00 - 0:09 and 0:50 - 1:16 Off the top of my head there's an OST from a Naruto game that sounds sorta similar but that's about it, lol. Something about those haunting strings of music really hits me right now.
