@@asersah One thing is comparing Rise Rajang and World's... But compare Rise Rajang and Rise Tobi Kadachi. Tobi is twice as fast. The problem with this version of Big Monke is that it's slow compared to other monsters of the game.

@@yurei4414 I will be honest iceborne rajang is the toughest version of him in my opinion. Sure Apex rajang was really tough, but I personally struggled more with tempered Furious rajang in iceborne

He will still outright one shot or wombo combo kill you from 100% HP when you first reach his hunt. do NOT let him grab you or its cart time.

Its because this isnt Master Rank Rajang, it is High rank so its easier.

It's not a hatred so much as a deeply-ingrained terror and aversion. If you first encountered him in 4U then you'll know why, since due to the other _issues_ with that game he tended to just select one player and stunlock them to death until either he was in a pitfall trap or 3 people have been carted and the hunt is over. Apex Rajang in 4U still makes me fear him now, even though he's nowhere near that much of an unstoppable murder machine now.

He was always more like this. They just gave him crack before they put him in Iceborne since he was a title update monster.

Yeah. Hub quest progress further into high rank and u can only fight rajang in high rank , that applies to other monster u might not have faced yet also. Village quest will remain within a certain rank and u can’t fight many monsters past a certain rank.

@@scoutman66 it's not that, old game rajang was even harder then new world, honestly rise rajang is super disappointing. They didn't give him any new moves, and actually tool some away. I feel like they made him too easy for newer players

@@scoutman66 ehhh, debatable. So far with the game meta, they start off easy, and then gradually make things harder, and harder. Then, they release the full version, and it’s super hard. But, it is true that world is much easier then the old games. I think it’s just that they fixed all of the old game’s ridiculous hit boxes, and the inclusion of being able to walk while drinking a potion.

@@Hraezlyrrrr Nah, Rajang has always been easy: it's just a meme. Just sheat while you're not attacking and Gypceros becomes an harder fight than it. Genuinely I struggle more fighting Purple Gypceros than Rajang in 4 (wich is the strongest Rajang version btw).

I strongly agree. The first time I fought this thing I did poorly. I haven't fought him yet in Rise but my last fight with him was a tad better.

And how would he be harder? Put him on crack like in iceborne?

@@natekoester4116 if you bum rush him yeah. His patterns aren't that bad and in rise you have a faster reaction speed than in other games. Don't bother trapping when he's enraged. Pitfall traps do work but he'll get out quick and launch himself into the air down onto you guys.

High rank Rajang is normally this easy. Wait til g and we’ll get a mean Rajang

The problem that I have with it is not that it's slower than World version, it's that it's slower than other monsters IN Rise Monsters (Tobi Kodachi for example). Rajang as never been really that much for a challenge anyway, (you could cheese it with LS in FU just by staying in between its legs and sheat) but because of that double Rajang quest it got that "strongest monster" reputation and became overrated.

@@yurei4414 that's not the reason. Rajang got its reputation from the apex rajang experience. In fu he did twice the damage he does but was slower than 4u or icebornes version. Rise rajang is slow for the game he is in. Not saying it's bad it's just slower paced than compared to the others and has more tells.

Rajang in world is only G-rank(Master Rank), Rise right now only has High rank but there will be an G-Rank(MR) Expansion next year. Lowrank easyer than Highrank easyer than G-Rank(Master Rank)

Not as easy as FU. You can cheese it completally with LS just by staying in between its legs attacking twice, sheath, wait for it to turn, get in between its legs again, repeat. At least now the legs are not a weakspot anymore.

He's a lot easier in Rise since he doesnt cling onto walls.
