My favorite Apex vs my favorite subspecies, oooooh this one was really tough to choose who to root for. The 15 seconds after 9:00 was ACTUALLY PURE HYPE with the horn break. Also I really like the addition of the locale theme along with the 2 monster theme's, more music is always welcomed imo.

Well Espinas is basicly a Combination of Rathian and Diablos, so the fight feels very even. But I dont know, Diablos was dominating the entire Fight, the only thing what reseted the HP Difference was the Nuke.

What makes it so much easier to get these monsters to target each other unlike with the battles in World?? I love it. It actually feels like a battle and not who can manage to land their attacks on the monster while aiming for you running around. And not needing a slinger for the final hit.

Because World was the first time Turf wars were actually implemented, it stands to reason that the next generation would have a better system for that

@@atcera8714 while you're probably right in reasoning, I want to clarify that Rise is still 5th-gen, same as World/Iceborne. Minor detail, but Rise was under-development at the same time as World, which is why not all innovations made it over. Some lessons learned we're able to be borne out in the development process, but we have yet to see what major changes will happen in the 6th generation

That was a very impressive show by Apex Diablos! I didn't expect it to be this close, so I'd imagine Apex Diablos could take on more Elder Dragon tier monsters. He could give Seeting Bazel or the metal Raths a run for their money. Anyway, 9:05 is definitely my favourite moment in the entire fight. It's a chef's kiss with how Espinas countered the 2nd supercharge from Diablos with a nuke and broke his horn.

Flaming Espinas' fireblight and poison really helped it out in this fight, not to mention apex diablos' EXTREMELY long fatigue time

I'm glad I got to see this matchup. I always thought Espinas looked like a giant cactus, especially its tail. And the fact that Diablos eats cactus and both use a lot of charging rush attacks made them into rivals for me

This goes to show that Apex monsters can Compete with title update monsters, really intense fight, not a single dull moment. I'd really like to see a Fight between Risen Chameleos and Apex Zinogre, just to test the strenght and Limit between Apex and Risen. Who would come out on top tho? The one who overcame the affliction, or the one who survived the Storm of the rampage?

Strictly speaking, Apex Diablos is meant to be more dangerous than all the Title Update monsters (besides Risen), since it's threat level (in the monster profile) is 10 star, whereas all the update monsters have been 9-star.

Don't forget that Black Diablos alone is already said to be Elder Dragon strength like Espinas so this match shouldn't be too surprising. Although it makes you wonder how much stronger Bloodbath Diablos would be

The key of victory for espinas was the fact that he can do very vicious combos than can almost be impossible to counter by other monsters. The fact that he’s ults all landed and the poison at the beginning sealed the victory of espinas

Wow very impressive even through all of apex Diablo’s vicious onslaught flaming espi still managed to tank through it all and secure the victory with the help of it’s equally hard hitting attacks, brutal firepower & venom not bad im proud of em. He may be slow but he’s definitely a daunting force.
