Whether or not you liked Samurai Jack, you have to admit that this animated series on Cartoon Network made an impact. From an uncharacteristic hero who would often be lost to a charismatic villain, it had all the elements to become a favorite among the fans. It told the story of the notorious shape-shifting wizard Aku, an evil entity symbolizing darkness. His constant confrontation with Jack always kept the series exciting. Overall, we had four seasons back in 2001. Later, the show was resumed for a final season, but this time the tone was way darker than before.
Coming back to the mighty villain Aku, there was clearly something that distinguished him from the other villains in fiction. Yes, we all hated him, but at some point we also could relate to him.
