Man, the Mont Blanc .. the first time I travelled to France it was standing in full sunshine, I could see it from the Italian Autostrada for a long time. WHAT a view. Breathtaking, I also had tears in my eyes several times! I also drove large parts of your route alone, but I discovered so many things in your videos that I hadn't seen before... This is full of awesome-sauce! As you said, you make memories on trips and encounters like these. Liked some 9 minutes in when you didn't think you were high enough up in the air, so you stood on your toes to get a better shot...😉 (Yeah, I know wide angle lenses have a tendency to get odd pieces of items in the frame, like feet, railings etc. Still it looked funny.)

That was brilliant video the last time I was there was 30 years ago brought back memories

About ten years ago, in February, I went up that cable car to ski down the Vallée Blanche, down the Mont Blanc glacier. At the top station the group I was in were roped together and carrying our skis we had to walk across an icy ridge for about 50 metres (shown at 7:23 on the video) before we could put our skis on. On one side was the steep slope to the glacier on the other the huge drop down to Chamonix. To add to the tension we were all given a transponder to put in out pockets, this would allow rescue parties to locate us if we fell into a crevasse. As the guide cheerfully told us, locating us was one thing actually getting anybody out of a crevasse would probably be impossible. It was a brilliant experience, a unique chance to see the mountain from a different position. Our reward for completing the 14km run was to have to carry our skis up over 300 steep steps from the glacier to the station where the funicular railway took us the final part back down to Chamonix. A once in a lifetime thrill.

Highlight of my day is when I see you have posted another video and what an epic one to finish off your French adventure, hopefully I won’t be too long for the next one Thank You
