I’ve got a SARB035 on a Strapcode “O” bracelet, too! It’s really hard to beat for the price we paid. This Monta looks like an outstanding watch, but I’m wondering if it’s $1200 more outstanding than our SARBs?

47mm lug to lug fits my 6.75" wrist perfectly. The clasp is my only concern.

@@mickeylickey123 YEah, the clasp is what makes me undecided here whether to buy it or not. The dial, lume, the bracelet finish are what attracted me to this watch. Logo is also not too bad. I think for the price is pretty darn good. If Monta will remedy the clasp, I definitely will get one.

I would buy the Monta Noble over the Tudor 1926 I think the bracelet is more sporty on the Noble. But I’m not gonna lie I love the 36mm 1926 with the blue numbers. Buy whatever you love more my friend

I don't own that particular Casio, but they are absolutely killing it overseas. I have eight of their "non-square" watches. Only one of the seven, as far as I can tell, was easily available in America. I put in time researching each one, and searching to find retailers. None of the seven were very expensive, but I don't plan to ever sell any of them. Quality control was high on all of them, and to a one, in my humble opinion, they punch well above their weight. I should add: All are smaller in size, but they all work on my 7" wrist. Men's dress watches used to be smaller; I'm starting to see a small move in that direction again. I have nothing against larger watches. They are like the Honda of cars: Look nice; operate well; conservative, without being boring (well, actually three of them are fairly minimalistic, which is fine with me) reasonable cost; and, dependable. I know that's not most people's cup of tea, when it comes to dress and sporty dress watches. And, that's fine. It'd be boring if we all loved the very same watch or watches. Oh, I'm not a super Casio-only fan boy, or affiliated in any way with them. I also own a Seiko SARB 035, Victorinox INOX V (not the monster; the smaller, black unisex version), Citizen Paradigm (the smaller one, of course), a Lorus field watch (the new super cheap Titanium one raved about elsewhere on YT), and a square G-SHOCK. Sorry to ramble on. I would say the same thing about all of the watches I just mentioned: All worth more to me than what I paid for them. I guess I could have summed this up by saying: Can't go wrong with a Casio. 🙂

@@silverghost4206 of course that’s the case however polished surfaces are far more susceptible to noticeable scratches than brushed surfaces and they are also much harder to remove .

They are more boutique now. If you are new into the hobby, I recommend window shopping a ton. Then slowly experiment with some that really grab you.

Ben D Stowa makes great watches you gotta buy whatever you like my friend. If I could make a suggestion at that 1,000 mark check out Raymond Weil Freelancer diver it’s certainly more sporty if that’s what you want. I feel Raymond Weil doesn’t get enough love in the watch community
