I've always wanted to ride this place, I've hiked it and it is pretty awesome trail. We have been to Morro bay so many times with my wife and she tells me I should bring my bike next time. Now, that I have seen it I have no excuse! Thank you for the guided tour! Top Tip, if you stop to check out some of those rocks you can see sea shell fossils in there sometimes (we did this with my kid while hiking it)

I moved to SoCal when I turned 50 drove across country from upstate New York. Upon arrival I bought one of these newfangled mountain bikes with the suspensions and quickly discovered a whole network of trails and KZfaqrs. I think you may have been the first one I spoke with at overdrive at Greer. I remember I just discovered MTB Alan and you were there riding with him. I was posted up next to you and Alan was on the other side. I was so excited to meet a real KZfaqr, but I had to make sure, so I tapped you on the shoulder and asked is that Guy MTB Alan , the KZfaqr? And you were like yeah. I was like cool to meet a real KZfaqr right??I didn’t recognize you and I said nothing of you being a KZfaqr lol. I realized it when I got home and it put into perspective your what am I chopped liver expression😂. AnyWho… The best thing you can do is stay on the bike, even if it’s riding around the local flat trails, just keep paddling. Age is a fickle thing.

Moments like this are what get me cranking all over again and glad your back man!!! Hope to meet you on the trails one day

There’s this cool spot in Guilford CT, maybe you’ve heard of it.

Very interesting. I personally don't find it very aesthetically pleasing, I like the look of rear shocks too much. But hey could be a game changer for some maybe.

Good luck on your home acquisition. I am a Southern California resident, have been all my life. This place is unmatched in weather and off roading possibilities. Financially and the political climate(which go hand in hand) can easily out weight the positives however. Welcome back.

Heads up. A lot of cars have been getting smashed into at MDO lately

Glad to see you back on. Any recommendation for resorts in Park City. We have class 1 bike or regular bikes. I would prefer to ride the e-bikes, but not sure if they are allowed.

Hey Tony! Years back, I did a ride somewhere near the Santa Monica mountains with my bro (RIP) and it was epic. The trail would probably be rated a blue or green these days, but it was up high with amazing ocean views, and IIRC, it was along the PCH. Any recommendations for something like this in SoCal? Would love to take my boys for a sweet ocean-view ride now that they're old enough. TIA for any ideas

i seem to always get poison oak on that trail. probably only non-locals have this problem
