Montana of 300 spoke to VladTV about how his planned collaboration with Kevin Gates on a remix to "Bad as Hell" was cut short after the Baton Rouge rapper was sent to jail. He went on to talk about plans for dropping an album every year in May and helping his artists get ahead by paying for their projects and splitting everything evenly in the end.
Moving along, Montana of 300 explained how Soulja Boy opened the door for a lot of Chicago artists by doing a remix to "3Hunna." He explained that people were drawn to the violence and rawness of the Chicago scene, despite the death and sadness that came along with the spotlight.

For all you politically correct dudes let me set the record straight. Common, Twista, Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, Psychodrama, Bump J, Sly Polaroid, LEP Bogus Boys, Kanye, No I.D., E.C. Illa, True Enuff, Boo & Gotti and those I didn't name and even before all of them Chicago had Prince Akeem of the Moes who used to rap wit Public Enemy. They all paved the way for Chicago Hip Hop, but Montana is not talking about that. In 2011, Drill music was gaining momentum, but no one was really hip to it. Power 92 was not playing drill music other than Sean Dale and those were only artist that paid to be on his Raw TV Radio show... Only so many of us knew about them and that was because we used to watch Dgainz and Azae videos. After that young kid went viral on World Starr, people started asking questions. The very very first artist to reach out to Chief Keef was Soulja Boy and then the city started talking even more. Later came Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive and he helped get them on the radio.... After that came Kanye and the rest is history.... I remember that shit like it was yesterday......
