Absolutely a Fantastic Voyage, Summer. This is my hands down favorite to date of all of the canoeing adventures that you and Gav have presented on your channel: the Allagash, the Everglades, the Colorado, and the disastrous John Day River trip. The content you choose to feature in these adventures, and the impeccable production quality are beyond impressive. And being the pros you are, you always leave me eager for more.

I'm surprised you can remember the list of adventures done. All the rivers and lakes we've done have been great trips, the Missouri is a tempting river to go back to being so easy to paddle with so many hiking opportunities.

Well, I have to fess up and admit that sleep got me before I reached the end of this episode but I finished watching as soon as I woke up :) Absolutely stunning. Beautifully filmed and edited and all the good stuff we have come to expect from your excellent videos. I have a bit of an idea how much effort goes in to these videos so thank you for all the work you put in and for taking us along for these fantastic journeys of discovery. I know I have said it before but this channel should have way more subscribers!

Greetings there. Hope we didn't keep you up too long, a mans got to get his rest. These 2 films took a while to make, we shot the footage a year ago. All the cartoons that had to be drawn for the intro was a bit daunting so it kept getting pushed back. We're due for another trip soon so hopefully the Disco keeps running as well as it has been.

Congratulations stunning video. The work that you commit in making these videos is rare from editing to composition to graphics. It doesn’t hurt to have wit and intelligence on your side , plus charming companions. Take care of one another.

Thanks John. The whole film making process is fun and challenging justifying the work load. The aim is to make them as good as they can be with the tools and the skills at our disposal even if they don't resonate with a larger audience, which I have to say, I'm happy they don't.

24:30 nice aerial view of Cow Island. In 1877 during his famous retreat across Montana, Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce crossed the Missouri at Cow Island. They helped themselves to some freight at the landing and attacked a wagon train in the hills, before meeting their destiny at Snake Creek south of Chinook in the Bear's Paw. There Chief Joseph uttered the famous words, "... from where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever," then passed his rifle in surrender to General Howard and Colonel Miles.

Good stuff you two, though just a tad concerned re Mr Foreman wandering around in his bathrobe, wildlife shots are a 'rickapoody and fandoogaly'. Thanks for sharing your travels which is inspiring us to get out to the Cooper and Diamantina for the channel country wildflower show of the century.

Greetings Peter. I've passed through Coopers creek many years ago but I was on a motor cycle so didn't have the provisions for much more than a quick look. Some fellow travelers were pulling big fat yellow bellied and silver perch out of the river. Channel country I believe it's called. If I get another chance to go there I'll be taking it along with the old Defender.

Now you need to do all 2400 miles of the river from Three Forks to St. Louis. About 5 to 10 do it each summer. Nice videos. I guide there, nice to see the fall colors.

We are tempted, we just’ re-did’, (I might have made that word up) the river from coal banks to James Kipp, we finished about 3 weeks ago. So we were discussing the possibility of doing the whole thing. I’d also watched a KZfaq video of one adventurer discussing his trip over a two part series that also helped with inspiration. It’s a great river and a fun trip.

27. The Riddle of Steel. Wrapping up filming today with some completely unnecessary special effects. Editing and colour grading mostly done so should be out in a week.
