Mexican warrior Oscar Valdez will face Australian former world title challenger Liam Wilson in a special 10-round junior lightweight attraction on Friday, March 29 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Valdez, making his seventh appearance in the Grand Canyon State, joins Wilson in seeking redemption in the arena that hosted their last defeats.
In the co-feature, WBC/WBA/Ring Magazine champion Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada and WBO/IBF ruler Yokasta Valle collide in a highly anticipated showdown for the undisputed minimumweight crown. The prolonged war of words between the two world champs will culminate in a milestone 12-round fight presented in association with Golden Boy Promotions and MarvNation Promotions.

If I remember they were conflicts within Toney's team following his loss to Jones. He began to hold his team responsible for the defeat, starting with coach Bill Miller and manager Jacquie Kallen. According to the media, Toney had threatened to kill Jaquie Kallen. It seems that even the police got involved. In a nutshell, the whole story would have caused harm to the relationship between Toney and TopRank. TopRank would have tried to separate as quickly as possible due to Toney's versatile and unpredictable attitude, which became harmful. One way to get there was to eliminate Toney from any chance of becoming a lightheavyweight world champion. Thus, providing an explanation for the questionable scorecards in his two fights with Griffin. Although this is a rumor, I have a strong conviction about it.

Yes, you absolutely can take away the first fight he had with Roy Jones Jr., in which he won by disqualification, because after RJ floored him, RJJ made the mistake of hitting him again, while on the canvas. That's not something for Griffin to be proud of. If there was any doubt about the first fight, RJJ clarified by knocking him out in utterly dominant fashion in the first round of the second fight.

Cope. Griffin put a beating on Jones and frustrated the hell out of him. Jones had gotten soft fighting weak opposition. He had to cheat to win. @@jlongobardy1612
