To play Cleoptra, one has to have a voice that''s both tender and strong, captivating and menacing. Montserrat possesses those qualities. And the effortless pianissimo! What a voice!

She was, at that Time,at the real TOP of her Wonderful career. ! We cannot believe . She was just the Goddess of Bel Canto. This excerpt is just a Dream,who cannot finish.! I always keep on crying so deep moved I am... Monserrat take us to her World,where evrything is just beauty and endless Happyness..Thank you so much for those cherishfull minutes dear Monserrat....

Beverly Sills brought this aria to life in a similar manner 15 years earlier, but this is truly an unsurpassed performance of this gorgeous music. To think that she also recorded one of the best Salomes on disc yet here at almost 50 years old can scale her voice down to the most sublime pianissimo is hard to comprehend. On a personal note, I found her to be THE nicest prima donna I’ve ever had the privilege to meet. She truly loved her public and we certainly loved her.

No hay repertorios que estropean la voz, sino cantantes que estropean repertorios. Caballé enaltece desde los barrocos al verismo precisamente por su voz prodigiosa. El primer párrafo corresponde a un crítico musical refiriéndose a las cualidades de su voz.

Norberto Francisco y Stella Maris, comparto plenamente sus comentarios. El nombre Montserrat Caballé queda escrito en oro en la historia de la ópera. Su canto y su encanto fueron sublimes.
