Cage looks amazing. Love the idea of a “daily driver “ style show. But as a 3rd generation mechanic I have to say I absolutely love the color of your Snap-On box. That color combo is gorgeous.

A buddy of mine had a GP. Black and Silvet. I built 355 for it with vortec aluminum heads. Ran great for what it was! Love this color on yours Jerry! Looing forward to seeing you make passes in it!

@@shaundobbs5759 Yeah, I actually have to do everything myself, and it takes years! The only thing I don't do myself is the engine machine work, because I can't afford the $500K+ in machine tools to get the job done. Other than that, everything is done by me, myself, and I.

Can you afford to have a $200K+ race car just sitting around in your 3-4 car dedicated racecar workshop with AC, on your hydraulic lift, along side of your $25K+ street hotrod? I can't! We haven't even looked at your house yet. But I agree though... being "rich" is a state of mind, not how much "money" you have!! We'll see how far that mindset gets me to my 6 second door-slammer before I die, and I'm already 58!!

@@philipmazzuca2269 I don't see that much money in that car. I have a 78 Malibu with probably more motor than him just as nice,except for the paint(mine is in primer). I have around 30k in mine over a 5 year period. I built every part of the car except for roll cage and frame notch.

You guys are the most down to earth on the 405. My first car was a 1970 Chevelle and it’s original color was this color. It’s beautiful guys.

Love the new car, it will cool to see how well you enjoy going slow! ( as in the type of cars you normally race) I could see Brandon driving this car. It would be a perfect car to start street racing in. Good luck and see if you can remember how to have fun this season!

This is my kind of real street racing I wanna see more of. I see that discovery is coming out with a show built around factory suspension cars that are street driven cars only and racing a few of top level racers like JJ,Ryan,Kye,Shawn and now looks like Monza is involved also because this car fits perfectly in this show that are putting out and also has to have small tires .

Yea "355 double hump heads" I've heard that line before. Right after saying that it will run off fand leave a hellcat. I like that color. It will be cool seeing you guys in real street hot rods racing. I love the race cars but this will be extremely entertaining

Nice ride Monza. Looking forward to seeing what it will do. I like the idea of going back to actual street driven cars. The split bumper has always been my favorite car, but going back to old school street driven cars versus the monsters you guys usually run is going to be a blast.

Everyone is going small tires, making a comeback and theirs some fast small tire combo's around and its to be honest a ball, the tracks are basically forgotten tracks and people bought them and they are filling the stands and even have all the kids involved, SRC, KC MAXX AND RECENTLY BOOSTED GT AND BEATERBOMB HAD BEST OF 3 , THE ONLY WEEK BOOSTED HAD OFF FROM NPK AND WENT RACING V BEATERBOMB...PLUS THE CASHDAYS IS SMALL TIRE. MAYBE FEW BIG TIRE BUT THE PEOPLE I HAVE HEARD INVITED ARE SMALL TIRE...GOING TO BE GOOD

I've always had a soft spot for G-Bodies that color just pops man. One badass looking Pontiac. I love the idea you guys are gonna try running more actual Street cars with race parts, than full fledged race cars. Can't wait to see what the rest of the guys bring.

Thanks Jerry, majority of us wish that the entire show was actually based on true "street" cars not street raced "race" cars that you cannot daily drive or better yet drive 25 miles in. Lol. I prefer this over what they have going on now. I'll definitely be watching just to see y'all having fun with the new G-body. Congrats and thanks!

Yes sir I agree I'm kinda looking forward to it also. I'd also like to see the actual money races again like originally, I'd think that would cut down on the "hey I'm calling you back out" if you lose 500,1k, or 1500 bets maybe it would cut down on the whole running same cars over and over. I know it's television and all,but in real life atleast mine replacement parts and labor isn't cheap.

I like it, car and color. Don't see many older Grand Prix and I have never seen anything in that color. Definitely got you a unique ride there and I hope its as much fun as it looks! Good to see the 405 go back to basics, I know the money is in NPK these days but that has gotten so far from street it's unrecognizable now. Still fun to watch but not something a Joe Blow like me would likely ever be able to afford.

Love the color! My grandmother's Lumina was that color, even as a 3.1 FWD it was a hoot to have fun with and bury the speedo in. That's what it's about fun, with a car you know you can turn the key and go cruise, enjoy and not need a rig to haul it around. Especially with the price of diesel. If it's not fun, then why are you in it? My grandmother on the other side of the family had a 25th Anniversary Cougar. Brings back good memories

Never thought I'd see the day that 461,462 dbl humps would get made fun of so much. Yeah we've come a long way since then but ppl act like that combination didn't run good. Some ported dbl humps with 2.02/1.60's, solid lift, single plane and a little spray made for a pretty quick street car back in the day when you were poor and trying to go fast.

Bob- you hit the nail on the head. In 1994 I ran almost that exact combo in a Monte SS with alittle bit of spray and was running 10.70s …….. not bad for an 18 yr old kid

@@philipmazzuca2269 Exactly, back in the mid 90's my Nova, a couple friends of mine one with a 67 Camaro, one with an S10 all small blocks with dbl humps on spray were running 10.30's/10.50's, we were broke 20yr old kids. Back then if you had a 10sec street car you were the man, 10's were what everybody was shooting for. Today of course 10's aren't exactly setting the world on fire but a 10sec street car is still a fast car.

Once sportsman II heads came out for the budget guy 461/462's were done. But before that they were the budget choice for sure , I remember pinning the studs on a set before I could afford screw ins. To keep them from pulling out . Now I feel old. Lol.

He stooped down to the 355 instead of 383, next guys joke will be 327, even better "the 283" baby! Oh yeah spin it to the moon. Lol. I guess it's not really that funny because grubworm was running a 327 basically. Or 331 with stock gen 2 block.

Don't laugh but my weed grinder is the same exact color as that G-Body. And if you don't believe me I can send pictures. Oh yeah my buddy had a Chevelle with a 307 a 69 that was that same color. Then he built a 396 right to the max in the first night out on the street it blew it up, Jason Lathrop if you listen to this yes I'm talking about you

That color looks great, especially with the blacked out chrome, on it! I have honestly never seen a Chevelle with that factory color, but I'm sure it looks good as well. The car looks pretty badass in general...have fun guys!

I really like the color Jerry! The fact that it's a original GM Chevelle color is icing on the cake.😉 The blacked out trim makes it even better. Good luck on the 405 show filming which is, prolly, under way. I had a '84 Cutlass G BODY that I really liked. Other than the mighty 260 V8... Would not get out of it's own way but, looked awesome. T-tops car.
