This rural corner of Pasco County is as hood as any urban area. Trailers in the woods loaded with junk in an area where some people feel the need for 10 foot fences and rampant addiction and poverty.

One question? Why didn’t you go past the park? There’s a beautiful side to Moonlake i’ve lived here for 30 years. I own a wonderful home on the lake. I don’t understand the point of degrading people or where they live. there’s a lot of good hard-working people out here that unfortunately can’t afford to have the “lifestyle” that you obviously have. It’s just pretty sad that you have to go picking on people God knows Alabama isn’t any better but I would never go to your town and make a video about your home. If you’d ever like a nice tour of a beautiful side of the lake come on back. This video just makes me sad.
@FloridaSalon2 жыл бұрын
Don't be sad. This video doesn't prove anything about you or that area. It only gives you a glimpse of the character of The people who created and posted the video. I have visited Parks all over the United States and the park at Moon Lake is my favorite.

Well this video made me laugh cause hes not wrong. Good for you for living in the better parts but I am a poor f*cker who cannot afford to live anywhere better and this shit is depressing. Dark humour and laughing about this redneck meth crime infested shithole is helping me cope. After 30 yrs you are probably desensitized, or it might be all you know. I have never been wealthy but even the inner city hood life was better, at least there was more to do there.

When I came to Florida at 19 yrs old with my best friend and a car we ended up here! We had no idea except we had extremely cheap rent 🤣 The good thing was we had a great landlord & a very decent duplex. It was a block off moon lake road across from a brand new development homes starting at $400k & that was in 2004. So needless to say we didn't have it to bad!

Moon lake is a wild experience. I grew up there, in shady hills, and in new port Richey. Some parts of moonlake are beautiful, some parts are downright ghetto w/ hard-core drugs and gang life (I saw a trailer explode due to cooking meth) had friends stabbed dozens of times over weed cause they wanted ice... But the whole area isn't bad, I've met some of the best people of my life right there on moonlakes boat ramp

Some of the houses certainly could put a little more effort into their yards and get rid of some of the trash. But other than that if the trash isn’t bothering me & isn’t getting into my yard; than I just wouldn’t care that much. As far as location & the nature goes, it looks peaceful & absolutely beautiful. The reputation for “tweakers” is a lil concerning not bc everyone who does drugs is a bad person my philosophy is the contrary but I’ve seen 1st hand how all inhibitions can go out the window on meth with some chronic users. That’s literally the most concerning issue. I think people visiting are being a bit more disparaging than is probably necessary. My friends live in Moon lake and they told me the property next to them is in the middle of a renovation. And they returned home, and heard the sound of Water gushing like a dam! 2 people stole the water heater! And they walked down the street with it! Just mind your own business and no one will bother you. For reference I’m 1 mile from here. I hear a lot of weird things coming from moon lake! Sometimes shots getting popped off!

Aye this video is great man! Im actually not really familiar with that area. P.s. these "white hoods" like this, to me, is actually way more sketchy/ low key more dangerous than majority of minority ghettos no lie lol dont break down there at night haha it like the beginning of so many horror movies haha and those movies don't necessarily exaggerate lol people str8 disappear in those places on some sick chainsaw massacre shiz and nobody will ever find out lol Devils Rejects vibe lol great video again man! I gotta visit this place now

Right, Vincent, don't venture into our swamp. The monsters will find you cuz they don't like unfriendly "tourists" & like you say, you might never be seen again. They're big & hairy with long claws & teeth and the growls at night are frightening. Oh it's scary out here for sure so don't tread. Tourists who travel thru so they can point fingers & laugh & degrade aren't too welcome by the creatures
