We all knows, it’s like the winning lottery balls, we all shouts “I knows it! It’s so easy!” Soon only after the balls has been drawn! We always thought this male ballet dancer only has one leg, until we sees it from him! Sounds like a sad song, but turned out that I am wrong after I see the lyrics!

Where have songs like this gone? Songs that tell a multi-layered story across just a few words, invoking more than their sum. Sung in the most heartfelt way possible. Someone needs to cover this and remind today's kids what a song really is.

Unbelievably, this song has already been around for 30 years. It's hard to deny that the 90s were truly the golden age, an era of outstanding music and unforgettable experiences that we still hold dear to this day. Looking back, it's evident that life was simpler, and the world seemed full of boundless potential. The 90s were undoubtedly the best of times, and it's hard not to feel a sense of nostalgia for such an extraordinary decade.

I received a CD player as a gift for xmas yesterday LOL... After 2011 I got rid of most of my stuff, but I have kept my old cds. I just set it up and this CD was the first one I listened to... just a few hrs ago. I haven't listened to it in decades (not kidding). Back in 94 I was 20, and I sorta "hate" Jessie thinking she basically manipulated this loser time and time again LOL... I thought there was an idilic kind of love where both always want to follow the same path and share all things (so naive of me)... To me the guy was just gullible and kept dragging the poor cat every time Jessie snapped her fingers... I was listening to the song and laughing on my own like crazy...

This song brings a bitter sweet memory . I just moved country in 1994, terribly homesick and heard it played on the radio and instantly fell in love with it. Without the internet it took me a long time to find out about the song and get hold of the music. The Melbourne radio stations played it all summer long. Twenty plus years later , I now have two beautiful sons , Joshua and Jesse.

I think we all have friendships or relationships like this, with someone who holds a piece of our soul in their hands but who never stays for long. They leave, and our souls hurt for their absence. Then, just as we finally have moved on, they show up out of the blue and smile, or laugh, or say hello, and it starts all over again. The years vanish like dew in the sun, and we can't believe we actually thought we were happy without them.

Staple for any 90s ballad... Piano in the dessert... Permed hair guy in various states of toplessness. Sweeping piano interlude. But this song just makes me get a lump in my throat and tear in my eye.

wow,I'm the same age as Joshua. this is why his music makes me cry so much of that longing feeling to be loved. you find the love of your life, get married and your partner forgets that love and you are left yearning for that love again because its been so many years since you felt it. it hurts so much to not be alone but be so very lonely. it is painful to feel unloved and unwanted like a book that's been left on a shelf that gets old and dusty. that book begins to fade, pages fall out then it gets thrown out. 17 years on the shelf. why won't he pick up that book again? please pick up the book 😭

“Jessie you always do this every time I get back on my feet.” That line hits hard. No matter how much you love someone, you have to love yourself just as much. Real life Jessie’s will cost you years of your life. Money too, but at least sometimes you can get that back.

I was just a teenager when this song first came out. I remember watching the video on VH-1 and running out to get the CD. His voice completely enthralled me, like a siren's song.
