This means that Bramblestar and Leafpool are siblings-in-law, and Jayfeather and Lionblaze are Alderheart’s cousins-in-law, and Leafpool his aunt-in-law. Bramblestar’s sister is Tawnypelt. Tawnypelt and Rowanstar had 3 children. Dawnpelt, Tigerheartstar, and Flametail. Tigerheartstar and Dovewing had Shadowsight, Pouncekit, and Lightkit (forgot if the other two got new names). This means that Tigerheartstar and Alderheart are cousins, Shadowsight, Lightkit, and Pouncekit are Alderhearts... nephews(?), and Dovewing and Ivypool are his cousins-in-law. This makes him cousins-in-law with all of the Three. Tigerstar also had children with Sasha, Mothwing and Hawkfrost, which makes them his half-aunt and half-uncle. If we go really deep into the family tree, these connections make him distantly related (in-laws and whatnot) with Raggedstar, Yellowfang, (and as such, Brokenstar), Sleekwhisker, Breezepelt (unfortunately), Brightheart, Cloudtail, Lionheart, and everyone else really this also means he has familial connections with every clan other than skyclan. unless you count alderheart briefly adopting twigbranch but then we would get much more messy with these connections and I’d rather not

After rereading The Broken Code, a part of me thinks Shadowkit was meant to die as a kit and that Ashfur saved him to use him as a pawn from the very beginning. Not sure where the theory came from, but wouldn't it be a cool reveal with Ashfur claiming that Shadowsight 'owes him his very life.'
