There aren’t many bands with such a flawless discography as Moonsorrow

This band right here holds the dearest place in my heart. They've carried me over some dark times. Their themes are a lot about the apocalypse, death, disease and finnish pagan stuff, but somehow it really feels like healing for me. If you ever go for more (on your own or as a reaction), I suggest trying out Jotunheim, Pimeä and Ruttolehto. Thanks for doing this one, dude!

Oh and there are so many amazing Finnish bands! Children of Bodom, Kalmah, HIM, Ensiferum, Wintersun..just to name a few

Moonsorrow puts into their music the struggle of Finns throughout history. It's both exhausting and beautiful.

I honestly love your reactions because you express how I've felt about them for 20 years but it's your first listen. "theyre doing everything right" yeah Moonsorrow is fucking nuts and they craft long emotional experiences, or at least something more than just a song, to me. They're the only band i have tattooed on my body. Shit is actual magic. I don't usually describe bands as "special" really but Moonsorrow literally changed how i listen to music. They're such an exception to every genre and mean the god damn world to me.
