In this video I make a 1500 km trip to the Island of Newfoundland, and then into the remote wilderness, in search of two Big Game animals, Moose and Caribou. We base ourselves out of a friends Off-Grid Cabin and spend a full week exploring the rugged Newfoundland landscape. Boating, canoeing, hiking, exploring, calling and stalking animals make up this incredible adventure. Come along with us for the experience.

Wonderful hunt, beautiful land! Lucas and Mark will have that memory of that trophy caribou forever! What I did notice though is that in one scene I saw a jet contrail. First one I have seen in any of your videos. You must have been a little closer to a flight path there than you are back in Labrador. Thank you to all three of you for taking us along!

A great hunt with friends, you can't beat it Chuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I killed a caribou years ago and when I got up to it it was a female, it had one of the biggest racks I have seen on a caribou. You may have heard of this before considering your profession Chuck. I still can't figure it out. That was a great bull for eating I bet. I see Lucas went to Elwood high school. There is a great chance that I was his bus driver on occasion in Deer Lake when he was a young boy. Small world!

Yes when the George river caribou herd were at their peak (approx 750,000 animals) I saw a ton of variety Bayern it came to another sizes. It was all either sex licences with that herd and thankfully so, because some of those females had humongous antlers. As opposed some of the males which had relatively small ones

When at the cabin, we cook our rabbit like they way you cooked the goose with the jiggs. We always referred to it as “country style”. Great video.

It’s salted beef (shortened by Newfoundlanders and simply called “salt beef”). You can get salted beef chunks or riblets. You can’t match the taste it puts on associated meats and vegetables in the pot. Ask anyone lol

We didn’t need one as we are residents of the province. Mark and Lucas used their own individual licences

I’ve never even come close to getting one that big. It was by far head, shoulders and antlers above the rest. Such an experience to witness it for sure 👍

It was in the head/spine area. He placed the shot perfectly. Instantly expire the animal which is what we aim for of course

No we took 100% of the meat. You’ll notice in one of the clips Lucas is holding a back strap. Even cleaned out meat in between ribs. The meat cuts were taken in several bags.
