This cool 1968 Roadrunner 383 sits all alone waiting for its rescue. Take a walk with me as we survey the cool Mopars and Chevys parked on this property.

When I was 18, in 1980 , I almost bought a 1970 Charger, with a 440 4bbl and an automatic. On my 3rd test drive I stuck my foot in it really deep and it launched so HARD it scared the living shit out of me! At that point I determined I would probably die in it if I bought it! No Ford or Chevy I ever drove did that! Lots of respect for the Mopars! Thanks for the video!

The fender tag on that rotting 68 RR is far better than many I have seen. That car needs to be saved. Great job as always Patrick. My second car in 1973 was an FE5 70 RR with N96. Sold it for $950 in 1974 and the kid smashed it hard.

@@justinraystyles3537 GM cars definitely had better overall build quality back then with those Fisher bodies but Mopar definitely built the best high performance drivelines. Mopar engineers didn't have all the stupid corporate restrictions put on what they could build like GM engineers had. Up until 1970 if you wanted an engine bigger than 400 cubic inches in a GM product you had to buy either a Corvette or a full size car. The only exceptions were the 1968-69 Hurst/Olds with the 455 and the 69 Chevy COPO Camaro's and Chevelle's with the L72 427. But only a handful of Chevy dealers even knew about the COPO loophole like Yenko, Baldwin, Nickey, Jack Douglass and a few others

My first ever car in ( 1981 ) as well a 1968 Road Runner, 3 speed on the steering column, 383 Max Wedge with an 8 and 3/4" hogshead rear end with 323 gears, what I was really wanting was a 1970 340 Cuda AAR. I gave $1,500 for the car, I did find a 340 4 speed Cuda 1970 but it was $7,500 so, I never did get the car I was looking for but, I did enjoy the Road Runner for over 3 years.

I had an orange/black 69 Roadrunner with the 383/727 automatic that I bought in 71 from the original owner. Wanted a 4 speed but I got too good of a deal on it to say no. I wish I never sold the car in 1974 or 75. Still kicking myself in the ass over that. Roadrunner's and Super Bee's have always been my favorite muscle cars. They were marketed towards young people who wanted something fast but didn't care about all the creature comforts like A/C, carpet, console's, and bucket seats. The pricier more upscale Plymouth GTX and Dodge Coronet R/T were for the buyers who wanted both speed and comfort

You can tell a 69 Coronet from a 69 Superbee from the ass end they have different looks to them that one looks to be a A12 Superbee clone. The A12 is 1969 1/2 440 6 pack with the fiberglass black hood that has hood pins holding it down with Dana 60 rear end with 4.10 gears they made Superbee's and Roadrunners that way

That fender tag on the 68 Road Runner is from the Lynch Road assembly plant. They were different from all of the others that had the standard fender tag we've all seen. I'm not good with deciphering the Lynch Road tags but if there's a build sheet somewhere (yeah, I know...) that will help. Also, some of the codes are similar to the standard tags.

Hi Patrick! Friendly greetings from Bavaria, Germany! :) I added your Channel many months ago and I like your videos very much, thank you! :) I've a question, because in the name of your Channel you Tell that you're only on the search for Muscle Cars? Only 2 Door Pony's or you've also a heart for the big fullsize cars and midsized cars??? Because I like the mid and fullsize US Classic Cars so much.... I think that US mid and fullsize cars what was made between 1950-1970s are the best cars ever made :) I've also a fable for the Pony's and Muscles too! But when i see a mid and fullsize especially in the Bodystyle "4 Door Hardtop", -without the B-pillars/post between the doors my heart is pumping Higher 😂 I Love it! In this Video i saw a 4 Door Chevelle and i would safe it if i could buy it...;) Because I think the 4 Doors are also soo importand for the history, -to keep the vintage look of Americas streets alive the 4 Doors are so importand i think.... When you look at vintage TV Shows like kojak, Streets of San Francisco &&& you always can see there are many 4 Doors. There was a lot on the roads but today it's completely different. Because today there are so many 2 Doors and little US Classics. But what is about the cool mid and fullsize US Classic Cars... :( ??? I'm still restoring a 67 Chevy Caprice/Impala 4 Door Hardtop what i've found in Ohio USA... I rebuilded all the fenders/wheel arches. Lower windshield frame &&& -all in self/handmade Sheet Metal work. A big work to get back a nice condition without rust. At germany i've Not the options to get a new fender or something else, i've to rebuild it. OK, i could look for parts from junk yards at USA... But when I could safe a part like a fender i'll take sheet metal, the hammer and time to rebuild it... But i wish to live at USA, Not only because to get vintage parts for a restoration from one of those amazing, beautiful Classic Car Junk Yards....when I was a little boy i was dreaming of the USA. The cars, the lifestyle &&&. But the junk yards are the places of my dreams! :) Ooh when I could go to one of those yards i'm sure I would rescue the cars and restore it :) Thanks to the people soo much who didn't crush the classic cars and parts! They've done a so much importand job with keeping those beautiful Classic Cars. At Germany you can't find classic cars on yards, because there aren't Junk yards what is a shsme. There is only a big governmental Recycling Mafia what is crushing all Cars - & they closed all Yards many years /decades ago & crushed all the beautiful classic cars. That's a crime. I really really hope this would not going on at USA and the classics will be safe, and the yards too..?
