tronclay, I made a no-sew version by using a scrap of stiff veg tan, cutting slots for the belt and installing the replacement button.

I made one of these a couple months ago, but using webbing as I didn't have any leather scraps around. Having something like this for the sheath makes all the difference!

As someone below said, it would be cool if your store offered these. You'd probably sell a bunch. Very cool piece indeed, especially for those of us that have a bunch of Mora's.

It worked with my Bahco 1446 (well, I didn't made one, but tried it in the button of a pair of jeans and worked), so check your sheath for a way of doing it. Maybe it's an European tradition to include this piggyback system when carryng more than one knife to field dress (in case one gets dull/lost etc.)? Anyways, thanks for the tip and all the content you put out Dave!!!

If the leather dangler is designed to thread a belt through it, why can't you just thread the belt through the sheath as normal?
@taetscherzz

And why exactly would i want such an uncontrollable sheath?
@hugbearsx4
@hugbearsx4 7 жыл бұрын
It's controlled by gravity, so that anyway you would twist and turn and bend it will keep the the handle pointing up and the sheet pointing down, thus reducing the risk of the knife falling off.
