Thanks Mike... I really love mora knives. Being on a budget I'm always on the lookout for great value at a great price. Mora hasn't let me down yet! In fact I just used my mora companion to cut my taters for this mornings breakfast!! I subscribed to you as well!!

Get a Jaakaaripuukko 110 from Varusteleka. Feels quite Moralike but indestructible.

That swiveling belt loop is called a dangler. It is to protect your loop if going through heavy brush and it gets hung up on something it doesn't break.

Thanks Trish! I have seen a few vids where they are worn, but no comments about them are made. I am old and crotchety, and set in my ways. So I doubt that a "dangler", will ever adorn my belt..😉 I actually carry my knives in pouches, on my harnesses, and packs as my hips don't care for anything hanging from a belt these days... have a good'un!!

The garberg is definitely on my list of reviews! I just used my mora companion to butcher a moose front shoulder... It performed better than I had imagined! :)

Great review mate, thanks for sharing. If I see people doing tabletop reviews, I’ll switch off. You showed the Bushcrafts ability well. I just bought the same one as you have, with the fire steel & sharpener. I have 2 Bushcraft Blacks already but this one will be my go to for camping. I’ll be adding a hair tie to my ferro rod too. Are you sure your Companion is genuine? The sheath looks a bit different to normal.

It is either swiss or germany army surplus. I paid $3 for it at a thrift store. I added buttons so I could use the green u.s. army field jacket liner to add warmth. It is heavy but with all the pockets it could be a bugout jacket.. 😉
