Morakniv Kansbol (S) brings you the best from two worlds - it has the flexibility of a lightweight knife and the strength of a more robust model. The 2,5 mm thick blade is made of Swedish stainless steel and has a profile grind for increased precision. The spine is ground to a 90° sharp angle, making it compatible with a fire starter.

was looking at the 2000 and run across the Kansbol. i know the 2000 is tough as nails and the kansbol seems to have improved on the design, for my outdoors needs anyway. the lanyard hole and the multi- mount system to be specific. had it just over a year. couldn't be happier. lightweight workhorse well done Morakniv

The thing I love about this knife is the rubberized grip, the lightweight and the better retention on the sheath compared with Garbergs. Mora should manufacture an alternative Kansbol with a full regular scandi grind with a mirror finish Carbon steel option (same thickness and sharpened spine). That would be a lovely forest knife. You are welcome!!!.

Love my kansbol. I keep it strapped to the outside of my waders through duck season. For as much salt water as it has been soaking in theres not too much rust.

the handle is handy: left/right handed, you don't have to worry about which side you carry the knife on. the blade should be coated to avoid reflections. also the blade should be longer.

Why is it indicated everywhere that the blade length is 10.9 whenever it is really 10.6, And overall length 22.6 whenever really 22.4???

Isn't it bad for the knife to stir hot soup with it?

Why should it be bad? Its a heat treated stainless blade. 12c27 steel.

Received my Kansbol in this color this week. The blade is very thin so I wouldn't use it for batoning or prying. All 3 sides of the blade are ground and all 3 edges are sharp. As I understand it, the Mora 2000 from which this knife is based never had a sharp spine. I guess Swedes just used a lighter or some other form of lighting device. The sharp spine makes it quite dangerous for carving tasks barehand. I guess this model came about due to the American obsession with fire rods. However, the sharp spine is great for scraping. I suspect that the blade is made from ground stock. Ground stock flat steel have very sharp corners and has high hardness. I guess that is why the blade is laser marked rather than imprinted like the 2000. I think the 2000 is a better knife. Still, both are very thin knives so are useless for opening durian. For that, you will need a Companion HD.
