Loved it, looking forward to the next one. Just a guess at that buried building , perhaps an ammo dump ? Sea level rise is everywhere. Climate change archaeology has become a new catch phrase. In northern Yukon ice patch collection contains some of the oldest and finest archaeological examples of throwing darts (sometimes called atlatl darts) and prehistoric bows and arrows found in the New World. Superb coast ...brill film ...we go filey and there pill boxes along beach too .... when grouse beating back in the day in co durham ...fells near our farm found many of those barb wire screws and mortar shell fins... peat blew away exposing them obviously ww2 practice site . 👍cheers dave

Hi Bruce, Good bit of filming and good weather for exploring the coastline. Amazing seeing all those tank blocks. The coastline from Seahouses to Bamburgh , the dunes have encroached onto a lot of the coastal defences. That reinforced shelter could it have been used to store explosives to do with construction/building work!!. On the lighthouse you pointed out a Bristol Beaufighter I believe. Hey Bruce cool vid! Always lovely here in the costa del Moray! The toilets are being renovated but there's another set by the entrance of that "aire". The coast has gone back 20 yards in the last 10 years in some places. Those huts cost £20k each a decade ago and I wonder if they'll get swept away. Where it's grown it's been due to sand storms engulfing everything but they are pretty much non existent these days due to the forest being mature and different farming practices. I remember the roads getting frequently blocked. Pretty rare these days. The dragons teeth were made in situ with sand off the beaches. I'm surprised they've lasted so long. The loops on top are for barbed wire which crossed over through them. Points of order though, to save you getting lynched when you come back 😂Pronounced BurG heed, or Broch to locals. Moray is pronounced Murray. Cheers for info on pigtails etc. Fascinating stuff. All my barbed wiring was done with slide hammers and angle iron.

I think that strange building may have been a local ammunition store and command post for the pillboxes?
