And he doesn't even end up with the second girl he meets, he ends up with a third girl but she's not even in the show until the end of the finale and she has no lines either.

When it comes to Mordecai, I feel like, even though he’s Jg quintel as a cartoon character, he had a lot of strong potential at first, but it just wasted on his love arc that gets repetitive a lot and his pay off after all this isn’t all that satisfying, unlike rigby. Ironically, Mordecai started with potential but it just got wasted while Rigby started with no potential but became well developed. It would’ve been best if they went in a different direction like focusing on Mordecai’s career goals instead of just relying on the whole romance subplot.

To be fair to Benson with the slow-clap: he left his band for similar reasons, so he was pretty much backing up his employees for doing what he saw as a good move. May not be the smartest or the move that got them the fame, but it was right. Also yeah, Benson was in a band as a drummer. That episode was fucking wild, let me tell ya; seeing Benny boy here perform a 150-piece drum solo.
