I've recently returned to my Etsy shop after a time away due to family issues. I'm working on adding one or two products a day or every other day, I already gift wrap, began working on improving the main photo, and it looks like I have product(s) in demand. Personalization and customization are two different things. Personalized is great and customers love it but I’ve lost money on customization because customers get really picky and I’ve had to do tons of mock ups and it ends up being a big waste of time.

@etsyconsultant, thank you so much for all that you share online for free. I have implemented many of your tips and methods and have seen an increase in sales. I understand that it can take up to six weeks for algorithm to find and sort a new listing. Is the same true of a renew? If I don't have a new item ready to list, can I renew an old listing and get the same results? Or is that actually hurting my store in the same way that changing SEO can slow things down? TIA!

Hi Priscilla, to answer your questions: 1 Listings are indexed (found) in minutes, "sort" can mean many different things, so I cant cover that here. 2 A listing renewal is seamless and the listing carries on with it's current trajectory 3 By renewing if you mean republishing an old listing, this is unlikely to get good results because if the old listing was deactivated due to no sales, it probably won't sell this time either.

Hi Karan, if you have made no sales, just remove them all and then start a proper listing plan, if that does not work, you can open a new store. I have noted the video suggestion, thanks!

Thanks Nick. This is the greatest no-nonsense Etsy channel anywhere! I have nearly 300 items in my store. A year after opening my store, there are 20 or so items that have never sold. Should I continue to leave them in my store to keep my total item numbers up, or just delete these dead items altogether?

I've seen Etsy listings that have a "Order 2 or more and combine the shipping" with an offer of free shipping. It appears as a clickable button type in the description. How can you set that up?

You have to go to Marketing,in your dashboard,click "Run a sale" and then select the type of discount: Free Standard Shipping and set it up for a minimum of 2 items,so when people purchase 2 items,or more the free shipping automatically applies at checkout.i hope it helps! Good luck with your Etsy!

I'm applying your titles and tags method and hopefully it will work because for the first time on KZfaq I see a person whoi is logically explaining stuff but I'm just curious to know that I opened my etsy store 1 month ago and now with 17 listings in two different POD niches I have 217 views and 109 visits and no sales in my shop as a whole 2nd niche I just sarted 3 days back so is my shop is on right track or am I missing something

One thing that occurred to me is that when I looked at newly opened stores selling digital designs, They managed to showcase around 300 products in the first three months, which means listing around 3 products per day. I wonder if the advice "List one product per day" can be flexible for digital stores?

Hi there, thanks for your comment. I still recommend listing 1 a day for digital listings. Other factors are involved as to why this will/won't work. Sometimes you may get your store closed down by listing too quickly.

@@LucyHowell-wb6nu Etsy isn't dying, in fact, they're making a lot of money thanks to KZfaq "gurus" promoting the idea that making money on Etsy is easy and that you'll be earning $5000 a month in a few months. This leads to more and more people opening shops, placing ads like crazy, and spending large amounts of money on Etsy Ads, saturating everything. The only ones dying are the sellers.

Hi Nick, I have been getting Direct Traffic to my Etsy store. I do not advertise my Etsy store anywhere, because I just want to grow it organically. I do have my live section link and store link in my product descriptions. When someone clicks those links from my product description, is that going to show as direct traffic in my Etsy stats? Don't do free shipping, use item price plus shipping. List more items, 27 is too low.

Just do what you can Linda, revamping an existing listing doesn't count, but making a copy and upgrading everything on the copy technically counts as a new listing, yes.

I made my first sale today from a person in the UK so I went to the post office all excited and was told because there's wood in my product I needed a fumigation certificate also the postage costs were way more than I thought so i lost a ton of money and am gonna have to figure out how to obtain a fumigation certificate *sigh*

Open another tab and type your store in the search bar as a customer NOT from your management page. Click on the item you want to link. Go up to the url and right click copy and paste. It will show up as a view on your management page but that’s the only way I know of. Do NOT do this from your management page because it will link the customer to your management listing. I hope i explained this correctly. Hope this helps

Name ist TypoTypeStudio I am selling POD poster in german language, thats why I reduced visibility just for german speaking languages. I followed your advice regarding quality score. My intention was to exclude for example english speaking people because they dont need german posters...whats your opinion about this?

I'd argue that your number one tip should be verifying there's a market for what you're selling. I think number three should be putting up your listings, but I don't think you should aim for 30 listings, you should aim for good listings. 30 listings were half of them are rubbish doesn't do you any good.
