More FINCHES Released in the Improved Aviary

Finally, all the aviary birds have been released back into the outdoor aviary. 3 owl finches 2 tricolored parrotfinches and 2 cordon blues. Hope they enjoy their new natural environment and show us some breeding behaviour.

The dark blue ones are the parrotfinches.

I had a huge aviary at my home in the '80s and had many of the birds you have. So many beautiful finches in the world! Family health issues led me to relocate my birds to others that had aviaries and I made sure they went to good homes and caring people. Thank you for sharing your stories and birds, I miss that time in my life. Music is ok at times but keep it very low so we can hear the beautiful bird song. You have a beautiful aviary setup.

I love the music. Please keep it! You can still hear those little sweetems even with the music which i find very calming. They are so beautiful and their song brings such peace to my soul and spirit!

Goed bezig! De vogels zien er allemaal goed een gezond uit! Heb zelf met alle soorten gekweekt, uiteindelijk.had ik 700 koppels waarmee ik kweekte. Het was een uit de hand gelopen hobby want ik ben net zo begonnen als jou! 5 jaar geleden ben ik helemaal gestopt met een verhuizing maar door deze video's zit ik zelf ook weer te denken aan een mooie volière! Ga zo door!

I normally dont like music on videos with own sounds you might want to hear but in this case I dont find it disturbing. I also think its nice when you talk about what is happening in the film like you did this time. Thumbs up!

OMG what a tiny egg. I would put music in the videos. There are nice copyright free songs in the KZfaq library, or you could try to make your own music. I have produced my own music. And BTW I have got 4 rainbow lorikeets. Have a happy weekend ;-).

@@MrAviary they are not the whole day noisy. Only about 20 minutes a day. A couple of minutes, if they want to say hello, if I am coming back to home from work, a couple of minutes, if they are taking a bath, a couple of minutes if they are fighting. That is all. Happy sunday ;-).

Welcome to your new home, little birds 💙 like those finches that didn’t quite want to leave the original cage, is there a way to gently persuade them? Or do they have to make the choice wholly on their own?

It's less stressful if you just let go out in their own time. Their thinking is the little cage is safe. They need time to look for predators before they venture out. That's why they looked all around, they were'nt just enjoying the view. If you were that tiny you'd be careful too. There are even bugs that are big enough to grab them.

Thanks, it depends a little what is available in your region. Easy finches are for example society finches, long tailed finches or silverbills. I also had these species when I started.

Love your setting and finch collection. Are you going to get a couple strawberry finches? I think they are a beautiful contrast to your parrot and owl finches. By the way what are the dimensions of your aviary?

strawberry finches are on my list, for this year I think the aviary is full enough. its 3,5m x 2m x 2m

Grass species and Pinophyta species will do wel both sturdy and can be found in a lot of different sizes.
