This game is in mixed in with my wife's CD collection and shows up from time to time. She doesn't like comic books, or video games really. I can't even imagine a situation where she would be in a Best Buy or whatever in 1997, and think "This... this is what I'm buying." It baffles me, and she doesn't have a satisfactory answer.

@@Gatorade69 My dad once called me to fix his VCR after he put in a mystery tape he found while cleaning out his closet. It wouldn't play, got stuck inside and I had to take the whole thing apart because it turned out to be a Philips Video 2000 tape. I was like: "where did you even get that?!" and he was like: "I have NO idea!"

Honestly seeing as how we heard the voice of professor x in the most recent trailer I think it’s definitely possible we could see mr fantastic introduced. If that group dr strange is being brought to is indeed the Illuminati it makes sense for reed richards to be one of them

This game is OUTSTANDING. My cousin and I would play it all the time. You have whales who make an acoustic guitar strumming sound when you kill them, you can watch Mr. Fantastic deflate when you kill him with a wimpy kick, and you can play a KILLER racing game during loading screens. This game CLOBBERS all the competition.

You should play the movie game. Not the best controls, but the levels and story out compete the movie. You get Mole Man, Puppet Master (in a history museum, total Night at the Museum shit), and even go back into space. Honestly the second movie game sucked for how basic it looked compared to the first movie game. I highly recommend it. Not god tier, but it’s a good B- game.

I love that game too. That and the cartoon series was my prolonged exposure to fantastic four as a kid, barely watched the movie, but those were awesome, I always loved Annihilus and Diablo and their levels, and how you could get so many comic covers and profiles and all that.

Gonna be honest, I keep forgetting this game exists, every time I see it, I instantly forget it. The only famous Fantastic Four villain named after a devil is Diablo, and he's just a dude good at alchemy. Besides that, Mephisto... And, this clearly some monster that Stan Lee, Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko made in the 50's when they made giant monster comics. I actually want in the MCU for She-Hulk to join the Fantastic Four, Because I wanna see Shulkie in F4 costume, showing her jade gams.

oh man, I remember playing this game w/ my brother back in the day lol... the reviews at the time were putrid, but we rented it anyway--didn't think the game was *that* bad ...and tbh, I actually like the idea of having a minigame while your main game is loading whatever it needs (I thiiiink the first Splatoon had something like this, too)

I remember reading somewhere that apparently the devs planned to have CGI cutscenes between the stages, but either ran out of time or budget, which is why everything feels like a disjointed mess, but I've never been able to find a confirmation for that

Wordle and Wii Music are "nothing" like Ultimate Alliance (among many other things, like foreskin and tomato soup) But I can see how someone who grew up playing a cheesy superhero brawler w/ Marvel characters would find at least some commonalities between it and future cheesy superhero brawlers w/ Marvel characters

This game was my childhood! I'd use the cheat code to have 3 AI players to join me in my adventures. That street theme is so wacky and funky yet it always stuck with me 😂

Fun fact that barely anybody remembers (including people who've read these comics): the building with the big 4 sculpture is actually called Four Freedoms Plaza, and was built after the Baxter Building was destroyed. Then *that* new building got destroyed, and the Baxter was rebuilt. Now, I completely forgot when and how the Baxter got rebuilt just like the original... I vaguely remember playing this game, but that kart loading screen took me by surprise.

Oh Gosh I haven't played that game since I was 14. I still remember the Jazz from the intro cinematic. There is also a VS Mode and a way to play single player while the AI controls the 3 others. Thanks to a cheat I used to skip to boss fights I also learned there was character specific dialogue. So to have the full effect of the final boss fight with Doom you gotta have the traditional team. She-Hulk doesn't seem to have any dialogue from what I remember, but she was put in at the last minute. I would love to see you and 3 other friends revisit this and go HAM on this game.

This game lives rent free in my head because it was my first PS1 game. To this date it's got the most Penis Music soundtrack I've ever experienced in a Marvel game. Those bonus rounds were the bane of my 8-9 year old existence tho especially that cheating bitch Hulk.

Yeah I remember this game, there's also a Hulk and a cancelled Ghost-Rider game. Then there's the Iron Man and X-O Manowar in Heavy Metal game. a odd time when pre-renders and 2.5D was popular. Even tho Xenogears and Klonoa did a better job doing those styles. Funny how this game looks and plays bad, even tho we had Streets of Rage 2, Final Fight, and Konami's beat'em ups, So they could have pulled this off but in a 2.5D style... but nope.

Does anyone know what the cheat code you can input on the options menu is? Me and my friends found it completely on accident and I never figured out what the button combo was to replicate it so I would just mash buttons until something happened haha. Also - why wasn’t saving a thing for this game? Anywho, I actually really liked it for what it was and I have some great memories playing it

@@MattMcMuscles I own this game I played it a lot years ago. When it was new I paid 19 dollars or less. They were to many games. Some went for cheap a few months after they come out. I got almost all my PS 1 games like that but a few. Wrestling games I got new and expensive etc.. But most I got were cheap when I bought them. The min game is so fun. I have so many PS1 games that went for very little money. I got them new cheap. Now they go for big time money. The rock man could flip the cars and throw heavy things. I forgot about that game. Thanks for reminding me. Next play this THQ fighting game I own and this other one from Konami. Kensei: Sacred Fist, and Vs. I have both. I own too many PS 1 games.

To be fair, anyone who says that they are not into muscular women are just big liars and need to come to terms. Same goes for anyone who don't believe in Tomboys and Tall Girls. I look forward to when Matt gets to Marvel Nemesis eventually, it feels like a Diamond in the rough kinda of game thou alittle cheap in certain spots.
