This is an abridged version of the live stream from 8-29-2021 about the grammar form (으)로. This includes all of its common meanings, including "toward" and "using" (although there is another live stream class about those meanings in more detail), "as," choosing, "into," "due to," and others.

I'm ashamed of how much French I've forgotten since my classes, but then I remember I never got good at speaking it in the first place :P

Most people would say "un cours". "Je vais à mon cours de coréen", for example. "Classe" is more like the group of pupils or students attending "le cours"

Billy, are the advanced contents of your live classes included in your books?
@GoBillyKorean
@GoBillyKorean 2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the topic, but many are included in my 2nd and 3rd book. But my textbook series "Korean Made Simple" isn't otherwise made for advanced learners - they're mostly for beginners and intermediates.

Hello Billy~~ When we have situations where we can't use (으)로? For example I'm going home. You said that (으)로 as a toward is more natural than saying 에 but we can't use it all the time when we want to sound naturally, right? Did you make video about it?
@GoBillyKorean
@GoBillyKorean 2 жыл бұрын
If you're using it to mean "toward," it'll sound fine. The times it might sound unnatural would be if you're using (으)로 to both mean "toward" and "using" right next to each other in a sentence (it can sound a bit repetitive). I also have a live stream lesson about using (으)로 to mean "toward."

@@GoBillyKorean I wanted to ask one more thing and then i think i will know the diffrence. So let's say i don't have any context and i want to say for example "I'm going to school". Witch should i choose when i mean that i want to be there, like for example just to exist in that place maybe to study or to meet my teacher? should I say with particle 에? On the other hand when i mean that I'm just going there like just there without any goal maybe go even inside but to not doing anything special maybe just to say something to my friend.. Should i use 으로 then?
@GoBillyKorean
@GoBillyKorean 2 жыл бұрын
@@nikosa1371 I think you may be confusing the usage of 에 with 있다. If you're saying "I'm going to school" you can still use either, but (으)로 has the nuance of in that direction or "toward" the school.

If you mean you made a car OUT OF paper, then yes - 종이로~ ("out of paper").
