I have the same reaction to kiwis! Oral Allergy Syndrome, which is basically severe hayfever where pollen in some raw fruits, nuts and veg can cause mild allergic reactions. It's especially in the skin, for some reason. You won't die from it, but it can cause your throat and lips to become horribly itchy.

eating kiwis with skin is actually the best way to do it, because most of their vitamins are right underneath. when I saw my friend doing it for the first time II was so confused, but after giving it a try I never went back 🤪 also, I didn't know golden kiwis were a rare fruit in the UK, you can get them at almost every german supermarket 😳
