These companies are disgustingly heartless. You're not truly free in this country--you're not even free to spend your time with a loved one if they are literally dying. The most basic ways of humanity are denied to us in the present day

Every time I watch one of these videos I realize that I was a victim of union busting at both Target and Starbucks. It’s a shame because I liked working at both of those locations and I’d go back to working for them if they unionized.

To Marilina, I hope you find a better job out there and that your husband gets well. To all of the other co-workers at Trader Joe's or are leaving that place, I wish for you all nothing but the best and hope that a good union comes to your aids.

Y'all go! And keep going! This is not only for y'all, but of course u know it's for everyone else that can get stuck & poked just like y'all did. I wish I had money to help y'all that way, but I don't. I've been fighting for my disability for 5 or 6 years. Idk, time runs rampant, & together anymore. But I will meditate on sending all the positive energy I can muster up. Don't ever let corporation's ever get too much power over you. God bless every single one of you. I love you all.

JJs fire story, is identical to a friend of mine about 7 years ago. She gave someone one flowers because her dog died or something, and got fired for that being her 3ed write up. (The others were bogus too) When she filed for unemployment, they would not grant it to her because she had been “fired”. So, she took TJS to court, the judge found in her favor, that our boss had wrongfully fired her and literally said after hearing the story from both sides that “you fired her because you didn’t like her.” She was then able to collect her unemployment till she found a new job. I don’t think anything happened to management or TJs for their actions. This kind of behavior has been going on for a long time, it’s there go to tactic when they want to get rid of someone.

And now they are giving their employees 10 dollars an hr increase if they work on Sundays. Paid holidays and 20% discount. Since this whole thing took place. The part that sucks the most are the ones that have been working every single weekend for months on end are now given Sundays off and given to the crew who they choose to work on Sundays. 👀🫢

So, I was trying to show my friend (a TJ employee) a Netflix doc I saw about TJ’s and how they treat their employees and I’ve been searching high and low for it but haven’t found ANY traces of this documentary. At first I questioned myself about if it even existed but when I stumbled across this video, I know for sure this clip was part of it and it looked familiar. I even remember telling my cousins to watch it. Now I wanna know what happened to it and why it was taken down and disappeared off the internet??

Many people anticipate a market crash, but I must stress that it is just speculation. When all of this is over, many people will regret not buying now because a market fall is always a chance to purchase. However, this is my most genuine opinion.

90% of successful investing is controlling your emotions. When market volatility plagues your positions, don’t let this panic you into making a regretful decision by selling. Focus on company growth & execution, and look at drops as a potential opportunity to consolidate.

Trader Joe's informed me by snail mail that on December 31, 2020 I'd lost my health care. The letter was dated December 21 and arrived during the holidays. As 52 year old with a chronic illness and no insurance I missed some work, one day sitting 12 hours in the ER with no food. I had told the Captain, Reggie Jones, while sobbing of my struggles. When it was time for evaluations he denied my raise because of missed days without a doctor's excuse, keeping me at $14.35/hour after 4 years with the company. I was nowhere near what new hires made and still without healthcare, so I left.

Worked at TJs for over 15 years, can confirm. They are just as heartless as Amazon or Walmart, but since Trader Joe's is private, they don't have to disclose much. The union-busting these crew members experienced is NOT isolated, and Trader Joe's management illegally harasses and union-busts anywhere they can. But custies won't REALLY care about this until they're forced to. Customers sympathize with these kinds of stories, then go right back to shopping and just skip the line of the person who told them the truth. So crew members will be forced to make the public aware of these crimes and transgressions, and win the unwilling public to their side. We'd better get started

Having seen this is eye-opening for me. As a "custie" of them I do empathize and wonder of new developments. Unfortunately since food deserts exist it's difficult for some (like myself) to find reasonably priced healthy items to buy and consume.

Can i just say how proud i am of Shannon for sticking around w a corporation w such a sick corporate identity. No shame at all on all the other fighters, i think i woulda quit, too. But i love it that not only did Shannon stock around to continue receiving the roghts she so bravely fought for, but i bet it REEEEAAAALLLLYYYY sticks in the craw of her bosses that, now, especially since she has the history with them and everyone's STILL talking about it a year later, she practically cannot get fired! Lmfao, and to top it off, the fact that bc of these guys, and shannon, who refuses to leave, even MORE stores are unionizing, just rubs salt in the wounds! That is to say, the bosses who screwed these guys who HAVENT been fired by corporate for ruthlessly doing what corp told them, even so far as to not inform someone who was once one of them stepping down to care of her husband would result in amking it harder w no insurance... thise who werent fired by corporate... i bet they fired all of them, though.

The Hazard pay was not a guaranteed raise, it was an incentive to keep folks working through a difficult time. That's not a wage cut as is being framed. Missing context here but I'd expect nothing less from a union front. Some of the concerns are legit, but not all.

@@Alan-rw3ez so you want a $4 raise and who eats the difference? Are you not grateful for the doubling of your discount? That doubling offsets inflation if you shop at the store. You go somewhere else, that’s on you. If you really want to pick a fight, let’s talk about the employees who got paid to get vaccinated and the vaccine has come up with next to no benefit. I don’t think that’s fair. But the point of this video is union busting. You don’t like the wages, form your union. Or you can learn from those who have gone before you. It’s your choice.

Isn't it heinous that it's that way though? This is why we need public healthcare for everyone that is free at the point of service like every other civilized nation has. We manage public Pig departments, public fire departments, public K-12 schools, but we can't manage public healthcare? Nonsense! That's actually funny because the VA healthcare system is massive. Now all they need to do is extend that for the whole country not just the veteran community.
