Having worked in understaffed restaurants years go, I eventually learned to assert myself by refusing to pick up shifts I didn't want. I reminded them that if they fired me over it, that was another 35 hours of shifts a week they've have to find bodies for. Well I can certainly say the past 16 to 18 years I've definitely watched relationship and craze like all of us however I will say that I tend to point out that inflation comes in many forms not just the price tag on stuff one of the common forms that inflation comes in is simply the increase of workload and the increase of hours and in some cases those two things can happen separately. But it's often overlooked because people more so affiliate inflation with the price they pay at the cash register not necessarily the workload that they have to do on the job or the hours that they are expected to work in certain jobs the hours can actually go the other way in terms of being cut while at the same time the workloads increase. Basically they've got us coming or going.

Private equity is not in it for the long term. They are short to medium term. The only way to combat this is to unionize. It is only when they have no other options that conditions will improve. This is true of most corporate and private equity.
