Australian-born country phenom Morgan Evans is striking a chord with fans with the release of his new single “Over For You.” Evans debuted the deeply personal track, lauded by Billboard as “absolutely one of [his] best releases to date,” during his headlining set at Australia’s CMC Rocks QLD Festival, in front of a sold out 25,000 fans. Definitely can relate and feel your pain - 6 years ago, just one month shy of our 40th anniversary, my wife told me she didn't love me anymore and divorced me. She was and still is, the love of my life and for me I'm not sure that I'll ever get over it. This song resonates w/me more n more every time I listen to it. So after watching Kelseas whole little video and fit been playing her songs on repeat. Out of curiosity today I looked up his side the fact that she added the you would have looked all over yeah sure okay on Saturday night live was just a direct slap. Listening to both of them I think that he was in a more mature place in life he was ready for a family and to her that seems like being trapped these are not my words they are lyrics from their songs. And you can't ever place blame because we never truly know all. I absolutely love Kelsea ballerini I love her music I think she's amazingly talented. But if you listen to her music she's still talking about growing up this is something I've noticed with the millennials they don't seem to think that they're grown-ups in their 30s. I had kids in high school. And it just seems to be a generational thing as a generation as a whole it's a very selfish generation that doesn't understand that they grew up 15 years ago. It's also clear that she loves the party seeing and drinking a lot it came from her social media. Hanging out with people like Paul Klein is a bad sign I like his music too but he also thinks that he's not grown up. So from what I can tell.... Of course he knew there were differences that's why they were there be but I don't think he actually thought she would leave. And her songs she's pointed out in her mind it was over and to her he should have just known that. But that's not how marriage works. I hope you find someone and get the family that he really wants and I hope one they she realizes she's a grown up (she's not the only one it kills me when Adele says that she was just a child she didn't have time to choose she was 33)

Kelsea kept quite for a long time over her divorce…than he came out with this song. So she let everyone know her side as well! People grow apart and that’s okay…no blame in that. If you’re not happy it’s okay to leave. We don’t know what these two went through…but I do know one thing. In her song “blindsided” she basically cries her heart out and in “Mountain with a view” she was hurting too. It’s sad! I hope they both find their happiness.

It’s called projection. Human behaviour is incredibly predictable. She clearly wasn’t invested…never really leaned in. Look at any photo of these two…means to an end. I don’t know their situation and I am only speculating. But, hearing that men never listen is getting kinda old. You need to communicate up front. People hide who they are within the first three months, and some, never actually stop hiding due to insecurities within themselves. The cycle will repeat itself unless self change occurs. Predictable, she had to SHOW proof that she magically “slipped into a DM”…Sure, Yeah, Okay! …or projection? Ultimately, everyone deserves to find their happy. We don’t need selfishly bring people down in doing so.

The first time I heard this I didn’t know he had gone through divorce. The second time I heard it was right after I listened to a radio station interview with Kelsea talking about how she was doing after the divorce and how it played into her songwriting. I flipped the station and this was playing. The raw emotion is so evident in every word.

This song is so relatable. Been together for 4 years. started dating our junior year of high school and after high school she went to a different state for college and I stayed back to go to a community college. fast forward a year later, long distance was such a struggle but we made it happen. I eventually put everything aside and moved where she was. We got a place together and I was happy at that moment. I had savings saved up which I was using to support us for a few months while she was going to school. After I blew on the money I had. That's when depression fell into place, this was 6 months in while living with her. I had no job, no family around, no friends bc they were all back at my hometown. 10 months living with her, I go back to my hometown for funeral. Was supposed to be about a week or so. 3 days into being back in my hometown I got a call from my girlfriend (ex) saying that she wants to be single and that she feels more freedom without me living there which broke me right there. Mind you the night right before this she tells me that she loves me so much and that our dog misses me. It breaks me. its been 4 months now since our breakup and don't go a day without thinking about them. that's why when Morgan says "how long has it been over for ou it really its the spot" because why when I go on a trip, you wait to tell me this. and after begging her to make things right I get blocked on everything and I havent spoke to her since that day. And again Its sad because I feel like I got no closure.

The lyrics are profound for many who have fallen out of love or have been left for what seems like "out of the blue." When a marriage fails, it's not cut and dry, or linear. The twists and turns are like an almost finished puzzle with a missing piece. Irretrievably broken, but could have been fixed if the answers were there all along. Worst case, the missing piece is never found, floating in the ether somewhere, with a broken heart hanging in the balance. I hope they heal before they move on. Wishing them the best, individually.

Breaking up is so painful, no matter what end you're on. I left my ex after 25 years and 2 children. But he was having an affair, and expected me to be OK with that. In fact they were willing to invite me into their "bed" with them. That hurt much too much. They stayed together, but she cheats on him ALL the time w/ both sexes. Lucky him. Me?? My next love died quite suddenly. And since then, I just don't feel like love is a good risk anymore. 😢

I was speaking about my pain after 23years!! And then losing another to death after another 15 years. Learn? You don't learn love. You live it.

@@Changelingheart I've had great success following the advice of good dating coaches, they just teach you about the psychology of love & romance, what the other person really wants. They also teach you how to manage your own emotions too. If you enjoy bumping your head, to each his own. Don't mean to be flippant but life is short, why wallow? Seen the movie "Reds 2" starring John Malchovich? His character advised Bruce Willace about his relationship and he was right!

Absolutely...heartbreakingly...beautiful song. I can feel how much Morgan is hurting. I heard this song immediately after hearing his ex talk about deciding to divorce, because the "sparkle" was gone ftom her marriage. Hearing this song brought me to tears, and I get choked up every single time I hear it.

My heart is broken right along with you. For you. For her. For this world. I hear about these kind of divorces more and more. The ones where people say they are just following their hearts. Gah. What a cop out. The truth is the heart is misleading. And divorce especially where there isn’t cheating and beating etc is really cancel culture in another form. More then ever when I hear stories like this it continues to encourage me to be someone of integrity and stick to my commitments even when I don’t want to anymore. I’ve been married for 7 years now. And there are times when it’s hard. Years sometimes. Marriage isn’t easy. Two people trying to continue to grow together in 2022. And as two celebrities gah. I couldn’t imagine. The easy thing is always leaving. It’s harder to stay. I wish she had. I think you are doing the right thing. You are sitting in this season of pain and you are feeling it. Love and healing your way!

Yup. It all comes down to that marriage is supposed to be til death do us part. So if the other is not cheating or beating. There is no excuse good enough to leave. I don’t care how old you were when you were married. Unfortunately since world war 2 there has been the inflation of divorce and this promotion of “you do you boo” “be true to yourself” I think people think they can’t find themselves while inside their marriage and that couldn’t be further from the truth. God created marriage to resemble his love. I wish people took it more seriously. But what a blessing god gave Morgan and then everyone enjoying this song. Beauty comes from the ashes. Even the forest must burn to regrow.

Has someone who was completely blindsided by divorce - this song hits hard. Pretty much word for word, there is not a single line that is not relevant to how I was feeling and the thoughts running through my head over and over. I don't even like country music, but this has really connected to me and maybe I am a country fan now.
