The reason Tennessee football songs are so popular this year is because Tennessee is playing at a significantly higher level than they have been over the past decade-plus… safe to say people from Tennessee (Nashville) are pretty happy about it-Country singers and songwriters included

There's just something about Days That End in Why that grabs my attention. That one is definitely my favorite. I do agree that this "love overtakes college football" songs have gotten a little much. I kinda want someone to have a different but fun take where they fall in love with someone but can't continue cause they're a fan of their rival team.

I’m so glad you pointed out the similar creative direction to the album artwork to American Heartbreak. You’d think with the massive budgets these artist have that’d it’d be worth the time and effort for the teams involved to be more creative and unique.

Days That End in Why sounds like a High Strung or “Nashville Tuned” guitar. Basically, a way of taking the lower 4 strings on a guitar, replacing them with a thinner gauge string, then tuning them up an octave.

“One Thing At a Time” and “Days That End in Why” are my favorites of the trio. First one is one I can see myself and others jamming’ out in the car, and the second just hits in the feels to some degree. Sorry to say the third one just doesn’t do it for me… love his music and saw him in Concert back in Sept in California, such a cool experience and can’t wait for more. Love your videos, Grady! Keep ‘em coming!!

Days that end in why could also mean the letter “Y”. Basically every day of the week. Every day starting with whiskey 🥃 and asking “why?”. 🤯when it finally clicked with me as I was living the exact same scenario he sings about, in a point in my life.

I thought they were pretty mid tbh, was hoping for some more country-rock, hardy like song. none of these are bad… it’s just no one of them give me that This Side of a Dust Cloud or 865 kinda feeling. edit: the writing does seem pretty good to be fair, i think it just doesn’t match the production imo.

Driver Williams is actually part of Eric Church’s band and wrote a lot of Eric’s songs over the years and wrote a couple for Jason Aldean a little bit

The type of sound Morgan has in Days That End In Why gets me every time. I think its comparable to 865 in the amount of snarl he puts in to his voice in those songs, but its easily my favorite type of song he has.

Grady! Love your videos man, you rock. Just my two cents (even though no one asked lol 😂): I agree that subject-wise Tennessee fan is not the most interesting song, BUT melodically and lyrically an exceptionally well written song. The way that the lyrical turns of phrase dance a seamless dance with the melody is near perfect. Sure, not super deep, and I am a sucker for deep, thought provoking lyrics, but I think the songs depth and impressive nature comes from how structurally sound it is. There’s beauty in perfect design I’ve come to find. Certainly an art to putting all the pieces together beautifully, even if the picture the puzzle creates isn’t super intricate.

I have the three songs in the exact order as you! I think the instrumental to the first 2 songs are amazing, And Tennessee fan is the least favourite which I think it’s because I’m Canadian also so I don’t really relate to it as much as others would down in the states.

One Thing At A Time is my initial favorite, followed by Tennessee Fan, and then Days That End In Why. The Tennessee song did have the nice twist with him stealing the girl from Bama and turning her orange. But he's already done "Had Me At Halftime" which is just too similar. Days That End In Why was decent, had some nice writing, just not super catchy to me.

Yes, the instrumentals in Morgan's music are amazing! His band needs more acknowledgement. Morgan needs to focus on hometown real women with hearts of gold and natural beauty. Most girls in these bars are shiny and fake. Morgan is making it big going off life experiences and heartbreak. He knows what we want to hear.

I don’t really care about what the songs are about to that much of an extent, more of how they sound. And it would have to be Orange and White, Tennessee Fan, and then waaaay down would be Tennessee orange.

Look, look, look. Hear me out. I need one Megan Morony song about them Dawgs. College football is all we got in the state of Georgia and is definitely where my pride lies. One Thing at a Time is 3 for me. I really like Days that End in Why. Something about a slower Morgan Wallen song about heartbreak just hits DIFFERENT. And I’ve loved Tennessee Fan since the first snippet, but it’s only 2 for me. Days That End In Why tops the project for me.

Megan was 100% using it for publicity and it’s really obvious. She sings about being born and raised a GA fan, Morgan’s songs are about an Alabama girl. She and Conner Smith’s songs are definitely about each other, not Morgan’s.
