Grady I think you’re underestimating your role in this country resurgence

Why does everything have to be a statement. How about just making a funny, entertaining song and video?

Come on mang when we going to get a review video on Great American bar scene brah!? I already know what I think. I pretty much had it on repeat all day everyday since the 4th but I'm always excited to hear what you think. Far as I know you were the first one to interview Zach.

Is it just me or do I hear a few Beatles melodies in country songs. I always thought a lot of Beatles songs could be reworked for country.

The Greta Van Fleet of country. You like it, you want it, you just don’t know if it’s truly original. That is what all the guys he gets compared to had, pure originality.

Hey Grady! I love your channel and have been following it for a while. I really appreciate how you cover artists who aren't just are mainstreamers and introduce some awesome artists who we don't always get to hear about. I don't normally comment on any videos, but I wanted to share an artist who has brought the genre of country into the modern Christian music world, Anne Wilson. For anyone who loves a Christian and Country genre mashup, Anne Wilson is the way to go! Thanks again Grady for all the hard work you put into this channel. It doesn't go unnoticed so keep it up and God bless!

i dunno. i like Taylor Austin and Tanner Addell better. Lainey's sound just kinda gets lost in the chaos of country streaming and radio. She's not bad at all. she has talent, but i wouldn't go that far outside the dome to say she's that great either. people think taylor swift is good?! internet and gen z don't know how to read and dictate what's good in music it appears. i asked jeeves, he agrees. oof.

Loved this video, especially the focus on Appalachian artists, although I think you omitted... one of the greatest songwriters from Kentucky...Chris Knight. Granted he's not an up and coming artist, but he's definitely one of the best and plenty deserving of much more recognition than he gets.

My family doesn't listen to country, I only started listening in the last few years, so personally I don't have much nostalgia at all for nineties country. The sound and style doesn't do much for me, but I think it's interesting as a phenomena. They say that music/fashion/culture is cyclical, so you'll see trends come back like every thirty or so years. What's weird about the current moment, though, is it's not just general trends like hemlines and heel heights, it's 100% the same clothes. For instance, fashion in the 90's and 2000's definitely reflected certain aspects of 60's and 70's, but you can easily tell them apart. But what's 'in' right now fashion-wise is almost exactly the same as the 90's and 2000's. It's like we hit a wall, and in stead of cycling forwards, we're just spinning our tires. I don't know enough about 90's country to know if the same comparison could be made, but it makes me wonder if the current 90's country revival is in a similar vein; that it's not just inspired, but is the exact same. Sorry if my sentences are incomprehensible I'm tireddddd

I'm in the UK. I went into HMV (the only remaining high street music retailer) and asked if they had the Zach Top album. "Not listed on inventory." The chap did helpfully look it up and found it was available from Zach's website - however when I got home and tried to order it I was going to get hit with import duty and postage, meaning that the £12.99 purchase price became £30 for the one CD. Amazon UK doesn't have it listed, only as an MP3 download. Amazon US does have it, but again there's the same problem with postage (shipping) costs and potential import duty. Unlike the 90s when country was a bit niche in the UK (and a time when I was addicted to CMT Europe), it's now popular over here. So if anyone from a record label reads this, please get Zach's CD released over here. (Also I'm surprised the video didn't mention Joshua Hedley, his second album 'Neon Blue' was a love letter to 90s country - as well as being an incredible listen.)
