What is your favorite way to enjoy fall? Perhaps predictably, mine is through reading 📚 Fall is THE coziest season for reading and I have so many cozy, atmospheric, autumnal books I'm excited to read! Do you have any favorite fall books? I absolutely love receiving recommendations!

The fall season starts in September, and it's also one of the most awaited seasons of the year. Everything just seems so calm and peaceful in this video. Morgan Long is fairly consistent with what she has in store for us. The fall aesthetics are just stunning.

I love that you talked about having rough patches! So normal and relatable. Long term relationships are hard! I also think being post covid lockdowns makes people feel weird and in a rut. I know it does for me. BecUse for two years we've developed mundane routines and now it's hard to break that habit..... At least for me and my relationship. Love the idea of the app and date nights though!

I find just the opposite to be true. Summer is a slowing down of things and fall is go, go , go….because I go back to work as a teacher and life becomes so very busy once again. So I do need your videos to help me feel that slower calm pace I crave for. 😊🙃 I’m Sitting on my rocking recliner, at 6:55am, watching this anticipated video before I need to get ready and leave this morning.

You say you have “no plans” and yet have made a beautiful video of nature, planning a trip to the book store, “planning” for an upcoming book club, grocery shopping, having a friend for dinner and more . We don’t always have to have “ plans” but that doesn’t mean that we are not accomplishing things. You relate so well to people, have a gentle spirit and kind heart…….that is enough.

Off late, when I seem to catch a cold and have fever I feel very very depressed. There is tremendous amount of negative thoughts seeping into my head and I just feel like sinking deeper and deeper into a dark swampy pit. But last time I started reading books. My favourite way to pass time. I read Tuesday with Morrie and Murder in Orient express and Wild by Cheryl. And I realised that I just broke the drought of "not reading books, to save time for my other career endeavours". Trust me it has been 3 months since and am once again back into reading books, and am superlatively happier than before. It has also led me to picking healthier ways of eating, and exercising which reflects in my mood, as a whole. So yes I felt a connect at 7.15 mins when you said you picked up books to fill you up. Best possible thing perhaps, to fill yourself with 🙂. Looking forward to the remaining vlog, and vlogs to come. Would love to have a Halloweens day read and LOTSS of cozy winter readathons with this wonderful community of your channel. Love, from India.

Hi Morgan, Your not alone. A lot of people are feeling the drag right now. Strangely, quite a bit of it has to do with the planetary movements. It gives us a feeling of being “stuck”, even though we want to move forward. It will take a bit of time, but eventually it will all lift and you’ll be able to get moving again. Take this time to enjoy a little cozy time. Pamper yourself, and enjoy the beautiful season. 🎃🍂🍁 Lots of love and light being sent your way.

Dear Mo, when being creative becomes your job, I found it took me quite a while to get used to the fact that 'inspiration' doesn't come in these passionate waves by default, like it used to when it was your hobby. The pressure of it being your work can shy away the muse, and that is completely normal and okay. There are many beautiful ways to kickstart your creativity when it doesn't come "naturally" and I'm sure you'll figure it out as you go along (you already are). It doesn't necessarily have to mean you are disconnected, or that you need to go and actively try to get this exact feeling back, it just means work is also starting to feel like work, even when it is your dream-job :) PS The once and future witches is a FANTASTIC read, highly recommend and thank you for this amazing much-needed video

I really really appreciate how honest you are in your videos. It makes me feel, and i am pretty sure everyone else that can relate, not alone knowing that even if someone’s life or relationship seems 100% perfect all the time life happens and highs and lows are a thing that we all go through. I loved that you and Landon spoke so openly above going through a rough patch - I don't think we do that enough. Too often, when couples or one person in a couple start to feel like they're in a rut, they believe it's time to give up on the relationship. It's sad to see. I also think during these times, people will point their fingers at the other person, saying "well you need to do this or that.." when both individuals are equally responsible for the success of a relationship. So I'm super glad to hear you both talk about how it takes work from both parties and both individuals need to make the effort to get back on track as individuals in a relationship and as a couple

I found myself smiling when watching this video, Morgan. You inspire me to seek out everyday magic through simple joys such as tea, books, and nature. Also, thank you for addressing the fact that everyone go through rough patches. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, with all the musts and all the pressure that surround us on a daily basis. However, when hanging out with you by watching your videos, I feel at least some of the stress subsiding. Dearest Morgan, try not to put too much pressure on yourself to be creative. Maybe this is a time of rest for you. Enjoy the books and movies, take in the beautiful fall season as much as you can, and just enjoy this life. I know that's easier said than done! I live with depression, and I'm also an artist, so I understand the frustration of wanting to be creative and not feeling like yourself. It's especially discouraging to feel that way when it's such a lovely time of year. Just try to breathe and trust the process. Btw, I LOVE the sweater you are wearing during your book haul!

Wonderful video Morgan. I want to get into more reading this fall too as I have fallen behind in my reading this past summer. I want to read the The Rules of Magic and Practical Magic since I really enjoyed Magic Lessons. I still need to get The Rules Of Magic but did get Practical Magic. Have the dvd too so when I finish the series I can watch the movie. It is definitely incentive to read the books. I also want to read Other Birds as it really sounds interesting. I know it is a new book so will wait till I can get a used copy at Powells. Your meal made me crave miso ramen with veggies. Always so yummy. Love all your cozy candles too and pretty fall sweater. That app where you ask each other a question each day is really cool Morgan. I think it is a very good way for a couple to reconnect on a more personal level and it is great your reading together too. You take care. Cheers friend!

Thank you so much for your videos. I don’t know why I often just cry through them. 😂 They’re so beautiful and real and gentle. I’m a full time caregiver for the aged and disabled and by Friday, I’m so tired and sad and your videos feel like a long hug from a good friend. I’m also an artist who hasn’t created anything in ages and your videos inspire me to spend the weekend getting creative…and of course reading! Have you read Night Circus? I think you would enjoy it. Exactly the kind of cozy, wholesome, warm energy I needed as the warm Summer slowly fades away and we move into the chilliness of Autumn and its crisp air~ 🍂🧡🤎 My reading list has significantly expanded after watching, though I can't really complain. 🙈📝📚💖 I've just recently got back into reading fiction (or reading for pleasure in general) and it has been lovely to slow down and enjoy a good book, so I really appreciate all the recommendations! 🥰🙏

I truly hope things continue to work out for you and your love 💕💕💕 but if they don't, take it from me, a 53 year old mom, that was once married for over 20 years and has now been single for 13 years, everything works out for the best. Sometimes people are just different people and the journey together is over. It's like sometimes people were absolutely meant to be together for that time, but not forever, and then it's the end of their journey together with memories to always be cherished. All easier said than done, a broken 💔 heart is no easy matter ....I cried for two years straight ...I ate a lot of Ben & Jerry's, then I got really strong, and now at 53 I absolutely LOVE this age, the wisdom, peace and calm it brings. I feel beautiful and glorious 🌅💖🌅💖🌅 I absolutely love your vids, you remind me of my young self and that's sooo refreshing because I'm not ready to let the old lady in yet - lol! I have been looking forward to your fall and winter videos! I think I started watching your videos at the tail end of winter 2022, and I loved how cozy those were. Not that I haven’t enjoyed all your videos! But they do give me a special feeling, and I love all things cozy. Your “questions of the day” reminded me of something I got off Amazon last year - my boyfriend and I have been together over 6 years, and so it feels like we’ve talked about everything sometimes, and I just wanted a way to have some different conversation so I purchased a Relationship Deck by BestSelf that has 150 different prompts/questions across 5-6 topics. We like to work through a couple cards whenever we have a “date”, whether at home, or we’ve even taken them to a winery and had a glass or two while we had those conversations.

Dear Morgan, I think I know how you feel. It's tough to be in a situation, where you actually extremly want to do something - to be creative - and than you realize, that there's no inspiration at all and nothing seems to work. I'm often in exactly this mood - but I've learned, that that's most of the time exactly what I need - to accept that mood, to accept the feeling of (in my case) frustration or longing. To hug those feelings as they were my children - for they are - and from this perspective to see were my next step takes me. And yes - for this it needs rest. You doing dead right! :) I plan to play SIMS again for WEEKS, because it brings a looot of fun to me, but there's something in me, who always didn't want to allow it. I love how you figure out your plans and what works for your. Please know that I am with you at resting!! :)) I need it, too! Very soon I plan my first video here on youtube after a woooow long time. And it will be right about this topic. We will see - but it takes a lot of time for me right now to do a video and let my inspiration grow like a little plant, I take care of. Many hugs!!! Such a great video! Thanks for the book recommendations! You are so inspiring! I love the Fall season too. I've been in a slump lately ... lost my reading and my crochet mojos after having open heart surgery a few weeks ago. Has been tough for me to focus on anything but the medical aspect of things. Thankfully my doctor said that he is pleased with my progress so far so I'm hoping that I'll start to pick up on reading and crocheting again now that I have time off from work to recover. Hoping to experience everything Fall for the first time in years ... even something as simple as sitting on our front porch with my favorite gingerbread tea will be wonderful and such a treat. I'm watching this as I'm currently hitting a major writers block for the narrative of my new KZfaq video that I'm *almost* done with - and this was so comforting in so many ways! First off, just to say (from the heart) - you are SO NOT ALONE in your experience of this year. Everyone I know and I mean EVERYONE (myself included) have been really going through it... that seems to affect a lot of levels. Lots of external happenings and upheavals to people's lives (unexpected career things, or moves, or intense experiences) AND internal churnings, feelings, and intensity... all at once! As always, so deeply appreciate your transparency about your experience - I have the same intention at the heart of my YT Channel as well because it's powerful medicine to others. SO thank you for your vulnerability and medicine and know you're not alone! Also, just felt to say that as a fellow creative...I felt that it might be supportive to offer the advice to not judge the creative space your experiencing this time... there's so much I could say about that but mostly that I hope you know there's nothing wrong with that space AND that the creative cycle is one of so many ebbs and flows (the timeline of which is always a mystery!). Love so many of these book📚 recommendations - cannot wait to dive in! I LOVE the idea of seasonal readings that compliment the energy and character of the year!! 🍂 Again love your transparency about your relationship - another big area a ton of people seem to be working in and through. You can look this up - it is well acknowledged in couples therapy that years 3 and 7 tend to be big reckoning years (the scientific data on this is fascinating) - they tend to be times where relationships face a lot of deepening, facing things, and re-adjustment (not easy or comfortable). One of the most incredible relationship books I have ever received (and happens to be like on the best selling relationship books in the world) is called "Getting the Love You Want" (honestly hate this title BUT! I know you know that's not enough to deter us from a book 😉) by Harville Hendrix & Helen LaKelly Hunt - it has completely transformed my relationship to relationships and myself and my relationship haha. The selection of fall books is amazing! I have read “The secret society of the irregular witches”. It was amazing!!! I loved it! I am reading “Dracula” for the first time now, but I am intrigued to get “City of ghost” and “Something wicked this way comes”. “And then there were none” is my favourite book from Agatha Christie. Hello from Northern California! I have been waiting for a Autumnal inspired book, decor and just warm and cozy vibe video from Morgan! No joke notification put a step in my evening! I was feeling a little bummed out about “whatever!” And not feeling very autumn-e…since it has been blazing hot. Anyway, I am looking forward to Fall, my favorite of year starts in September and ends at the end of January. Again, I’m just trying to get in the mood and enjoy life as it comes, argh 😠. So I’ve been doing massive book hauls from recommendations, things I have been wanting to read and so on…and also ignoring it it 110 degrees and decking my little teeny tiny hothouse out with fall decor…🍁🍁🍂 and that is it. Hello Friend, I'm with you here in El Dorado Hills, CA. Oh it's been soooo 🥵 hot and now soooo smoky 🔥🔥🔥 I've been watching all these beautiful back east fall vids and I'm just sooo jealous ! Lol! So what I am doing for now is FAKING FALL. I did some fall decorating, bought some fall dishes, made some Cinnomin rolls, lit some candles, played rainy day vids, and told the kids to leave the curtains closed because we are faking Fall today 🍁🍂🌾🌱🌿🍃☘️🍂🍁🌾 Well it sounds silly, but it was better than sweating it out in traffic or laying on the couch complaining ...lol!
