I just turned 56 in September. I am 30 years older than you dear Morgan. I found your channel today and thought it so beautiful and refreshing. You know, lonelyness and beeing alone are two different things. One can feel lonely, even in a big crowd. Lonelyness is a state of mind, whereas beeing alone is a physical state. The good news is, that lonelyness is a self made feeling, due to wrong thinking. If you turn your inner talk around, you will see, how things are going to change for you. I love beeing alone sometimes and enjoy the peace and quiet. I also enjoy good company sometimes, but am always glad to go back home into my "castle" and pull up the draw bridge. ;-) If you feel lonely, whatch out for your thoughts in your head. What are the voices telling you to make you feel the way you do? Do not believe these voices. Start saying things you want to experience and focus on that. Happy Birthday my friend. I have never felt alone when I actually have no one around me expect my cat Molly, but I have felt lonely when I have my roommate or my brother are here. Their are times when I connect better to the youtubers I watch then to the people that are in my life. As for having my the life I want not even close and I am 41 years young. I love the hug and I give a hug back. I too had no one around for my birthday. I just smile and did the things that would keep me smiling all day long.

i find it so interesting how many people have experienced 2020-21 as the worst years, while for others it has been the some of the best years of their life. it all depends on individual life and upbringing i suppose. I used to struggle being alone and its probably what brought me to my passion and love of books. Books are my best friends! haha and also, when my partner goes way, i get to feel melancholy and lonely too. it happens and its a big change to our daily routines. i make a plan of mind of favorite books to reread perhaps, and some shows to binge that always bring me joy

Happy birthday! I really related with what you said about being alone. After a big breakup, I found myself in actual fear of doing anything by myself. So I forced myself to do the smallest thing all alone. Going shopping, going to a movie, to a play.. and then I went abroad to London for a week all alone! It was a most wonderful experience and really, I love my alone time so much. It's an important thing to manage alone. However, not to forget to enjoy time with others too. Beautiful vlog!
