I wish I knew the Quran by heart, but sadly, I do not. It was common logic rather than book knowledge that led me to accepting Islam as the only valid religion, eventually. I too had been watching knowledgeable brothers and sisters on Islam and felt a calling. I did not take Shahada for a long time due to fear of my surroundings. Destiny would have it that I got out of my shell and I spoke to a brother who gave me the courage to take my Shahada live stream. I will forever be grateful for videos such as these.

(Ex-Mormon from the video that was talking to Shaykh Uthman) Mormons base their belief on the book of Mormon, which is not so different from the Bible, words of men inspired by God. They don't drink soda, coffee, alcohol, or do drugs. But they do eat pork and they don't typically prostrate when praying. They also believe in a Prophet that currently reveals revelation from God. And they believe after Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith became a Prophet called of God. The most known story was when he was 14, Joseph Smith went into the woods and God and Jesus (2 Seperate beings) revealed themselves in Divine Human form. That is where he learned the truth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints. They still believe in one God, but they believe to be forgiven of you sins you have to accept the Name of Jesus Christ as your lord and Saviour. Men have a power called the "Priesthood" which gives them the power to bless and sanctify the sacrament or bless the sick. This priesthood power was banned from black people in 1842 by Brigham Young, a Prophet following the death of Joseph Smith, and was reinstated in 1978 by the Church. That racism isn't actually what led me to leave mormonism, but the change of "Policy" is what caused me to leave. If it really was the truth, wouldn't the truth be consistent throughout time?

He was not born Mormon but born to Mormon parents. We are all born as Muslims.

Subhan'Allah, just yesterday I was wishing you had videos regarding the LDS church. I always invite Mormons in when the come knocking on my door. I figure it's a chance for Dawa'. May Allah (swt) reward you! Not sure if you got a chance to find the verse the brother referenced so just in case, this might be it: 2 Nephi 5: 21: 21 And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. ... The curse is a fulfillment of Lehi's prophecy about the land: “If iniquity shall abound cursed shall be the land for their sakes” (2 Ne. 1:7). I completely agree that when we're searching truthfully, Allah (swt) sends us signs. I was at work one day and prayed to Allah to show me if Islam was true or if Christianity was then I clocked out and went down to my car to leave. A Muslimah was standing next to my car! She was apparently parked next to me and was looking for her keys in her purse. It was so strange because the area wasn't one that had a lot of Muslims but I figured maybe it was a coincidence and I should go to the mosque to ask some lingering questions I had. After chatting with the Muslimah next to my car for a few minutes I went to a masjid and there was only one woman inside (it was between prayers) and her name was 'Nicole", like me, and she was a convert. Subhan'Allah! Two signs within a half hour so I took my shahada right then Alhumdulilah. It's been 16 years masha'Allah. Allah (swt) answers those who seek sincerely.
