Welcome! These musical clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. At 54 years old I hear them, I admire them, they have a voice granted by Yashua. worthy of being in the heavenly choir, what beautiful voices. May YHWE bless you for always being together, I grew up listening to you always. their costumes so distinguished, woooow just cute. WHAT A THRILL .

Little know fact. Even though Marylyn and Billy carried most of the lead vocal work, it was Lamont and Florence who actually brought the group together as a single unit.

I'm a baby boomer raised on Motown and British invasion. The 5th is my all time favorite vocal group in history. (Laura Nyro is my favorite song writer, see the connection?) This interview is so informative. Thank you for posting this.

We have OFTEN said that. She has A LOT of the "SAME", and had she been cleared to be that way, would've been effortless! She often, to this day, has that essence! In fact, we have seen her as a type of cross between Diana sand Mary!

The guys look older from aging,weight gain with Marilyn slight change but Florence looks like she took a time machine from 1960s.

Florence was a little rude to Lamont but ended up with a little bit of egg on her face. Lamont seems like he was a player and she probably made the right decision to say no but it just seems to be a little shady the way she brought it up.

Well, I won't say it like that or attack you for it. I understand. But I didn't see "that" IN it. Florence was recalling it LIKE that Age and their mindsets "do and see things". You imagine being an attractive girl and Knowing "about" this guy always oogling women USING his photography..... And she wasn't "havin-it"! But there was SOME mutuality there that they connected on, as THEY were the cornerstone of the Group! It was God Ordained as there couldn't've been a more "perfect for each other Blend and charismatic chemistry" of a group, and has never been since! Florence had always been the more 'earthy' of the bunch! 😎

Best vocal group in the 60's. This must have been recorded years ago, as Trump was still a disgraceful businessman, rather than a disgraceful President. Ron Townsend died of diabetic complications in Las Vegas, during the 1990's. Florence owns the group name today and performs with four other filler singers.

Thanks for that as here in 2022 I see an upcoming Marilyn McCoo performance coming to the McCallum Theater in Palm Desert, CA. I also see if I google there is somebodies performing under the 5th Dimension name. That explains it for this current time, I suppose.

They excelled themselves on a whole album of JIm Webb songs -even if it did also include Lennon/McCartney's Ticket to Ride at the end to make up the time !
