This was actually the *1987* Tony Awards -- I worked on several shows and was there that night.

Barry... And what a great song you and Bruce have for us. it is unmistakably one of the most beautiful songs you have ever done. I am so proud of you and Bruce for getting your Musical on Broadway. You both worked on it for many years. I just knew you would succeed. I t just took awhile. I will love you Barry every single day from now on and since 1974.......Betsy

Met a taxi driver who picked her up at the Stuttgart airport. She was with a lady friend. This was back in the 70s. He said she seemed very nice so he started conversing with her. He had seen all her films and he asked about them. Especially "Lassie," "Who's afraid" and Cleopatra. She answered all his questions and he listened intently. It took an hour to get to the destination. She gave him the biggest he ever got in life. Another taxi driver in Stuttgart told me that he picked up Keith Richards.. Richards realized he recognized him so he sat in the passenger seat. Richards told him the limo never showed and he had to get to a Stones concert right away. Richards talked to him about this and that. When they got to the destination, Richards realized the guy wanted his autograph but was afraid to ask so Richards asked him and he gave it to him. He gave a 100 on a fair that cost 20 and told him to keep the change. Said he was one of the nicest people he ever met in his life.

Great rendition of a classic song also song by Diana Ross, which a tad it better but these 2 are such an incredible couple so that overlaps Diana Ross and her ratchet self .

I've watched this maybe one or 2 dozen times over the years, and while I love the singing and of course classic music, part of what thrills me is how naturally the characters physically move with the music, as if its spontaneous and not overdone. To the point that in much of the video I repeatedly wonder if it's actually choreographed and how much. Notice I haven't used the word "dance"/"dancing": are they even dancing? I suppose they were told to just dance naturally as their character might, with some moderate coordination and pre-determined styles between them, to match up. But so different from the hyper-produced numbers you usually see. I really enjoy the precision and pyrotechnics of the latter (among my favorites might be "We'll raise a glass together" from "Grand Hotel" but almost any big dance number from a modern Broadway show will be a thrill), but this is so refreshing to see the actors and (especially) the actresses moving somewhat naturally to the music. I especially enjoy the lanky and nerdy-looking one with the glasses. She just seems to be enjoying herself so much, with her energy and momentum picking up more and more as the song continues.

Barry.......This one has such a story to it. Describes part of my life. Your phrase, "Trust and Love is all we Need". Never a truer thing has been said and sometimes, I am too trusting and things happen. Love the lyrics and song to this one. Thank you Barry !! Love you~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Betsy Basile

Freedom to be ones own true self is a statement, love how you do it, Rupal is still saying 'if you can't love yourself how will you Love anyone else?' can we get an amen here. There's something warm and wise and wonderful about Rupaul - what's not to Love, thank you ❤ for you 🎉

Barry..As you walk out on the stage, you look so happy. You and Bruce worked on this one for so long, you should have had a big party and maybe you did. This song is the best one on your CD. I do wish I could see the show itself. I know I would love it, but I can't travel alone and I don't have anybody. They all left the Earth. But this I swear, I will love you as I do today and I love you every single day from now on...........................Bets Basile

I always liked MM. I remember this when it was broadcast. The budget for supporting production wasn't anything like it is now - today there would be like 25 dancers and 8 musicians (all of whom would still be miming).

And Barry. I love the one you have for us the night you recorded this one. It is so very emotional, dramatic and I know if this song is titled "Harmony", then you and Bruce must have written a great show for Broadway. You and he have been working on this for so long. Congrats !! And I love you every single day from now on......................Betsy Basile
