Monahan has figured out how to play with Ehler's, this line will be big in the playoffs. Back to playing the team D structure is a very positive sign

The Jets laid the boots to them so bad, they actually wore out their boots and had to change boots halfway through the game.

As that game proceeded it just kept getting better and better, nice for a change. The 2nd line is actually the 1st line because Ehlers is a play driver and Monahan actually has chemistry with him. If you need a goal who are you sending over the boards 27-23-72 or 81-55-13. 81-55-13 is tolerable at least if they play defence like that. Connor actually skated stride for stride with MacKinnion on one zone entry - he can play decent defence when he wants to - why fans are always so frustrated with him.

Everyone talks about how fast MacKinnon is. I’d easily put Ehlers, Connor, Morrissey, or sheif against him in a race.

In hindsight, the regular season is a completely different animal compared to the playoffs.

Imagine if we even went 500 on that 6 game slide, we might have been division champs. 4 or 5 out of 6, possibly Conference Champs. Oh well, spilled milk and all that jazz. Peaking when it counts, Go Jets.

Bro... Bro... The fans who were calling for a rebuild the last number of years... Calling us idiots for not firing Chevy, yadda yadda, This one in particular was for them... I found an article from the Toronto Sun about 3 days old now, on the writers predictions on who'd win the cup from preseason, compared to a few days ago... And it included a throw away line about how "Colorado should be able to beat the Jets in round one"... And then moved straight on lol... THAT type of disrespect towards us was just off the charts the last few days... and that's EXACTLY what we were gonna get if not for some performance exactly like we got yesterday... "They" were gonna focus heavily on every other series basically in the first round, very rarely talking about us in particular, and almost just taking it for granted Avs would "find a way" to do it against us The disrespect imo comes from the way they'll grant us the ability to have a close series against the Avs, But the idea we *ACTUALLY* come out on top in this series was almost kinda being chuckled at in the "Toronto/national Canadian Media" - NVM the American media. And the reality is it's almost entirely because of the one six game losing streak causing them to forget about us being real cup threats, and playing solid playoff hockey the vast majority of this season... (and the small market bias shines threw the curtains like that Kenny Rodgers Chicken Seinfeld episode in moments like these...) This basically forces "them" to talk about our series now in the hockey media generally, and that's just so god damn awesome...
