Sun salutations are used to greet the morning sun and honor it as it rises. We thank the sun for all its bountiful blessings that it brings to this earth and we harness its energy with an invigorating and simple sequence. In this yoga class, I go through Surya Namaskar A and then Surya Namaskar B to help awaken the body and greet the day. I love this simple sequence because it brings energy and fire to my entire body and clarity to my mind, making it the perfect flow to do just before meditation. It's also an energizing way to start the day! Give it a try and let me know in the comments how you feel after completing Sun Salutations A & B.

I won't lie .. most of the lesson on this video were lessons I did in college yoga classes and it definitely helped me out in remembering how to do this.

This was exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been looking for some thing that had a combination of stretches along with the sun salutations this is just wonderful saving this gonna be my new morning video.!!

I do like that she explains it nicely at start and that she really highlines when to breathe in & out. But at times she speeds it up and it gets quite hard to follow. Implementing all of the exercises a little more carefully would be appriciated, as I'm still a beginner. Thank you! 😙

I really have enjoyed your yoga and Kundalini. I had a decompression on L-5 and L-4 bilateral 6 weeks ago. Can you suggest a safe way to start practicing yoga again? I’m so afraid I’m going to injure myself I’m hesitant on how much I can do. I’m needing some guidance. Thank you any help would be appreciated.

Be sure you are cleared by your doctor to begin practice again. Then begin gentle and slow. If anything hurts don't do it! Modify as much as needed as you ease back in. 💖💖💖

Thank you so much I had my 5 week follow up and they said to start slow or go to physical therapy. With this virus scare everything is shut down. My body is telling me to try to stick through it With our injury... Lol anyways I appreciate and love your KZfaq channel.

Surya Namaskar ≠ Sun salutation. There is no sense of saluting a celestial object. In sanskrit the word Surya (सूर्य) has many meanings. Grammatical Surya means by whom or due to which other objects illuminates or get nourishment and energy. Surya namaskar is an exercise which effects your whole body that's why our ancestors called it Surya namaskar. Surya is one of the hundred names of God also because mediating and worshipping the formless God gives a lot of physical and spiritual power. Our Aryan ancestors were the followers of Vedas in which idolatry and veneration of any object is prohibited.
