Just gonna drop this here: IMPORTANT: 🎯🎯🎯 So we all know Johnny never talks badly about Moz and always talks about how special their "friendship" were. Especially in the 80s and 90s. He always says some really poetic shit about him and their relationship. And he was told to be "traumatized" after The Smiths break up especially after "one particular person"... The only exception? When he was sooo out of character? When I first watched this video -before I was a complete Smiths fan and didn't know Marrissey existed- I thought he was mad at Morrissey. The body language was off to me I didn't know why. He always seemed to drift off somewhere other than the interview. When I rewatched it as a full Smiths fan and Marrissey shipper (a.k.a basically being miserable) I realised they don't have their usual dynamic. Johnny never talks a lot on interviews but this one was quite off to me. Yes he laughes at some of the things being said but it just didn't feel right to me. And now let's get to "that" point. The way Johnny says those stuff ("it's not such a big deal to me" etc.) It's very sarcastic and it feels to me like he's quoting. Quoting someone saying that maybe he is not important to The Smiths or whatever. And Morrissey looks at him like he's amused. And when he says that Johnny is crucial to him and to The Smiths it feels like he's trying to tell him something. Kind of apologetic. CONCLUSION: Some arguments happened backstage with the band and maybe other people. This is Johnny attitudinizing and being mad / hurt. @denizpotterhead on Tumblr
