" It's a great charity, it really is , but the charity is supported by everybody in the music biz, which is all of our contempories, cause we are about the same age as most of the guys who are in charge of the music biz now ,even though we are dead lucky and have a lot of really young fans, so it is nice for us to get an award from our peers if you like. That always feels good, but the charity is a wonderful thing and it raises a lot of money and it needs to raise a lot of money because there is no other way that people get into hospital and do music therapy with kids."

MORRISEY WINS SILVER CLEF AWARD
Singer Morrissey today received an award for being an inspiration to the music world.
The 45-year-old picked up a Silver Clef Award at a ceremony in central London.
Organised by the music business charity Nordoff-Robbins.
Jazz sensation Jamie Cullum, crooner George Benson and Pop Idol Will Young also received gongs at today's event.
The awards were presented at a lunch by, among others, Beverley Knight and the New York Dolls.
