I think, Skarlet should come back as a citizen of one of the conquered village, invaded by General Shao. In the aftermath and ruins of her family and village, she grows a hate for Shao. Contrasting her past love and devotion for him, in the previous timeline. With Kitana's banished cousins, they managed to steal several Books of Magic and a book of blood magic, is one of them. If these cousins were ambitious as Rain, they took the books to surpass their limits. Coming across Skarlet and hear her tragedy, they teach her blood magic. With her new power, she goes to Mileena. Discovering that Shao is not there, she insists on taking Rain's position. And, that she can use her magic to try and reverse Mileena's illness. And, using the future coloseum as a way to strengthen herself, to fight Shoa and subdue Tarkot. A nice addition to a Femfatal Outworld

I honestly want her intertwined with Nitara in some way: Quan Chi use the knowledge he acquired from Nitara’s Vaeternian arts as inspiration to craft the perfect minion Skarlet. I honestly like her MK9 portrayal than the MK11 version.

I always thought she could be Nitara's daughter who turned against her and the other vampires because she disagreed on their tactics and retreated to Outworld. Maybe even being to take Nitara's eye out that she was missing back in the 3D era. She could have been adopted by the Outworld Sorcerer's Academy and developed her blood magic there and may even become the new High Mage after Rain's betrayal.

Something that I thought up was having Skarlet enroll in Shao’s army as a spy, obedient but also questioning his authority if his true motives are for Outworld. His dependance on her was then disregarded after he took in Reiko and found more value in his undying loyalty than Skarlet’s criticism. Another idea is something I read in the comments here, she could be one of the many human inductees from the Vaeternians. To find a middle ground between her MK 9 and 11 origins, let’s say Quan Chi found her near the brink of death from being chased down by Vaetarnian guards and he decided to slaughter then and infuse their potent blood with Skarlet’s. That would make her both a human Outworlder with tainted Vaeternian blood that constantly desires blood to feed on as well as being a blood witch.

I think Scarlet would be better suited for the vitrines realm where Nitara and her kind live. The reason would be she can have a Carmilla kind of role as a vampire but one that knows how to use blood magic very proficiently and she desires the eternal beauty of the edenian race that both Kitana & Mileena share thus giving a reason to hunt them down. Plus this can be a way to introduce Jade back that is hunting her, like a vampire hunter, and also have Ashrah & Sareena as her teammates to prevent Scarlet in joining Shao’s side or to manipulate him into winning favor of the Dragon king Onaga.

Shao needs an evil daughter now that Mileena isn’t his daughter anymore in the new era. 🩸 👏🏼 🗡️

Honestly, I imagine that Titan Havik might try something with Skarlet in terms of her MK9 version as that version of her would fit in his desire for absolute chaos, and maybe even have him strike an alliance with New Era Quan Chi where Havik says that he will tell him where Liu Kang hid the Hourglass in exchange for making Skarlet out of the massacre from the Pyramid in MK1's ending. I was also thinking of maybe also exploring the possibility of having that Skarlet gradually evolve into the MK11 version but with its own twists and turns, but whether that happens is ultimately up to them.

I think Quan Chi could make Skarlet like how he made Ermac making her a assassin for him and Quan Chi's right hand for the sisterhood of shadow and her gameplay could be similar to her mk9 gameplay

I mean the current game before aftermath literally ends in a massive bloodbath of hundreds of people from different timelines all going at it in an armageddon 2.0. Surely Skarlet could be a child of that massacre, similar to her MK9 story?

An interesting angle to go for Scarlet would be something between what you've suggested in this video, but combine it with Nitara's story ending. A woman who survives being captured, some sort of alliance between Quan and Vaeternus, or just another Vaeteran who alligns herself with Quan

The way I like to see Skarlet return is if she had a strong connection to Nitara and her race. I totally see her take the name of Keira on Liu Kang's timeline. An Outworlder living in Earthrealm doing shady stuff hundreds of years until she was taken to become a new source for blood instead of vampires hunting Skarlet would do the hunting for them and absorb the blood but there's a catch. Those who are "inject" with this magic must become prisoners as food sources. Keira would escape from Nitara, and her clan destroyed the blueprints of their "prototype" and became Bloody Mary (urban legend). Why would she destroy the "blueprints"? because she likes to bring in the worst of people. She eventually made Nitara join up with Quan Chi much later on. Skarlet would already be a piece of trash, and she hid herself in earthrealm, changing her name to Kira to avoid detection from outworld until the next story.

Nitara could work with Shao to create her. I mean, we see Nitara manipulating blood with blood magic in her intro, something I imagine is inhernet to her species. I still think Shao shouod learn sorcery in this era.

Perhaps the Skarlet from this New Era could be painted in a more positive light. In this New Era, Skarlet would use blood magic to help the world after discovering its healing abilities. She could be one of the few who hasn't lost her sanity/not consumed by her bloodlust when using blood magic. Despite being a master of blood magic, there's one technique that she despises the most of all. The ability to control of the blood flow of her opponents, & make them her puppets, even the ones who are dead (blood bending, it would be a nice reference from the ATLA franchise, but I wouldn't mind if they add few minor changes to said technique like the name or requirements necessary to learn the technique). Skarlet would've been using said technique when sparring with a friend of her's till she accidentally went a bit too far and killed her friend.

FOR GODSAKE NRS HIRE THIS MAN FOR YOUR LORE , WORLD BUILDING AND CHARACTERS, THIS IS A PERFECT WAY TO REINTRODUCE SKARLET. GET ON IT NRS

Love this Idea So Much!!! ❤ But sadly and I am going to be brutally honest I don't think modern NRS has the talent or creative vision to do something as cool as this. This does sound a little harsh but MK1's story in my opinion was just not that good and it discarded a lot of interesting characterization making the villains into jokes and everyone else being a goody-two-shoes which always just felt off and it just feels like bad fanfiction probably because MK1 is essentially Liu Kang's fanfiction. I really thought the New Era would be a hotbed of creative ideas but from what I've seen unfortunately they follow the style over substance rule and doing everything for novelty with few exceptions (Sindel and Ashrah imo). My main issue is why can't we just have MK9 Skarlet. They've established multiple timelines exist so why not just pull a similar version of Skarlet out of one of those. I feel when they did the timeline thing it didn't make me care about the new origins because we could have the klassic characters from their respective timelines which is stupid but they chose to double down on that bad idea. Sorry for the rant, and I still love this idea but they've really lost their creative chops at NRS and I just don't understand why want to strip everyone of their identity and make them a shell of who they were which unfortunately is what MK1 did to a lot of characters.

I imagined Skarlet as one of the Matron Superior, responsible of Jarrod's death. After being emprisoned, she is recruted to be part of shao's rebellion

An idea I thought of was that nitara and skarlet are sister but skarlet does not have the appearance as nitara for nitara is a full vampire were is skarlet is without wings and so she learn more of blood magic but too this, the magic would be difficult to control slowly causing her to go frenzy and kill some veaterning to cause nitara to exiled skarlet while exiled quan chi find her to help control her power and this would lead to skarlet being loyal to quan chi but also his deadly assassin, and skarlet can be a spy to keep taps in what general shao and what empress mileena is doing, so that quan chi can plan his next move to power or skarlet is a plan that nitara thought use blood magic on dead bodies from humans that were killed and greated an assassin that is only bonded by nitara and used her to spy on quan chi and the coven to see what there true intentions are.

If she has enough fan support, Skarlet could return indeed. I wouldn't mind, as she is a great character. Still Hotaru, Kung Jin, Kabal and Fujin deserves to return a little bit more IMO

For me, Skarlet is created by Shang Tsung, in the Flesh Pit. There an intro dialogue between Nitara and Reptile who said he saw an abominable experiment who look like Nitara.

I got it. In the current timeline, Skarlet is an ex-Umgadi just like Li Mei. But like Li Mei, instead of redeeming herself from her disgrace, Skarlet chooses to double down on her madness. Skarlet can be a street orphan in Outworld again. Only this time, she's taken in by the Umgadi instead of Shao. Skarlet spends her life from childhood to adulthood trained in the Umgadi arts and is eventually ready to protect and serve the Royal House. But within her, Skarlet has a magical ability where she can bend and control blood in living things. Blood magic, which is forbidden under Sindel's decree. After one incident with Skarlet's magic that causes a bloodbath, Skarlet is banished from the Umgadi and is sentenced to imprisonment in Lei Chen. Skarlet can escape with Shao and be his blood witch for his cause. Maybe Skarlet and Reiko could an item, too. Skarlet's imprisonment can occur pre-MK1's events, too. Blood magic could possibly be a way to heal and suppress Tarkat as well. An ability Mileena could adopt from Skarlet. You never know.

How I would introduce her she would still be an orphan but adopted by a league of blood mage assassins trained in blood mage and Kombat she was the best assassin they ever had assassination gone wrong made there assassin organization known and Scarlett being the one to train the new recruits of Base she and the new recruits where not in the massacre of the assassin organization after she found out what happened she was full with rage and vengeance the only family she knew was murdered but instead of acting on those emotions she think it was best to take the children in and give them a better life than she had put the children were slaughtered by general Shao mistaken for spies Scarlett swore revenge on the general Scarlett being the only blood mage is the closest to cure the disease tarkat but she won't after she found out the killing of the children she adopt was order of the queen now she seeks to destroy all of outworld before killing the Queen's children (anyone's thoughts)

I absolutely love this idea of Scarlett hunting Quan . With one minor change. I think that she should be Quan’s first and biggest failure As his daughter He tried to save with blood Magic Intern making her stronger but with this blood lust also binding her to him ( flash of my flash blood of my blood ) . Giving Quan his first steps into evil. And Scarlett a richer backstory.

I would HATE if Skarlet just becomes another mindless bloodbot like she was in MK9. She was one of the best characters in 11. I would be sad if she just becomes another basic red ninja girl.

I mean technically Skarlet could be anyone in this new era since some of the characters new backstory is completely different to before. She could even have nothing to do with blood, given how bad the writing is.
