I’ve summarized the video(below) for those that like to read and find my ADHD fueled rants hard to follow. I believe MK1 is “drowning” because it was (surprisingly and unfortunately) released in a “rushed state”. Causing the development team to play catch up fixing day 1 bugs while being forced by WB to retain the DLC schedule which has been coming with its own set of issues that need fixed. With WB limiting budgets left and right I expect it’s rather difficult to do anything let alone play catchup at the same time. I worry for the franchise. I worry for the good people behind and in front of the game that want it to be the best Mortal Kombat it can be. The egregious MTXs (micro-transactions) are just a slap in the face icing on the sh*t cake. The games rigged in WBs favor alone and they alone have the responsibility to make it right by giving NRS all it needs to get this game where it should have been on release. Mk11 was pretty good, still play it a lot, deinstalled mk1 after the story.

MK11 was not hated because covid. it was hated because stuck in the mud gameplay and MK1 is a rush job injustice 3 with terrible superhero physics and ugly designs and silly looking kameo system each games is getting gradually worse since MK9. theyre going the wrong direction
