I must say, i do love how after watching these couple of story modes Achara understands a lot of these characters. Yea they arent the most complex or groundbreaking, but she really gets the sum of who the lot of them are. It's nice to see because you have some people who played these games for the longest of time, and still dont really understand the traits or choices of characters.

I do like the idea of this version of the Character Endings; basically displaying everybody's ideal Utopia in their "new eras", it's probably the most unique thing they've done with them in a while, not that the previous ones were bad or anything since in some cases I preferred 9/10's over this one

"Have a nice day" in Shang Tsung's ending is a reference to Raiden's ending from the very first Mortal Kombat, in which he gets bored, invites a bunch of other gods to fight, and accidentally destroys the world. The ending literally closes with "The wars result in our world's final destruction. HAVE A NICE DAY."

As a Sindel main since mk3 I don't hate the retcon, but It takes so much of the character's complexity imo. The fact that she looked evil but wasn't, the fact that despite of being so powerful she was a victim of abuse and tiranny from someone more powerful than her and yet overcame It all. The mysterious nature of being a an ancient being and still suffer through such humane problems.

Spawn is Voiced by Keith David, he voiced the character in HBO's Spawn the Animated Series as well as other roles like Dr. Facilier from Disney's Princess and the Frog for example I also like that he teams up with Scorpion and Sub Zero, it just reminds me pf Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends since they team up with fire and ice characters, so I just call the team Spawn and gis Amazing Friends 😆

Regarding Jacqui's ending: The way I understand it, godhood and being the keeper of time are two different things in the MK universe. By beating Kronika, you don't become a god, but you get to control time and destiny. You can argue that you can just shape time to become an elder god, but if Jacqui wanted to save Jax as well, she's still have to go back in time. The moment she does that is the moment she technically stops existing.

Keith David: He voiced Spawn in the HBO cartoon and then they got him for MK11. They Live is about Aliens that can't be seen without special sunglasses. You may also know Keith David from Saints Row, Mass Effect, or Goliath from Disney's Gargoyles.

If you want to learn more about characters and backstories (like Skarlet) I would recommend watching the character intros before fights. There’s a lot of them with all the different combinations but they really give nice insight and details to the characters that you could miss from the story and character endings

The point of the Elder Gods’ existence is to prevent mortals from merging all of the realms, because it will resurrect the One Being, who the Elder Gods defeated and created the MK Universe with his essence. That is why basically why the Mortal Kombat tournament exists. In the 3 games worth of cutscenes you guys watched, you there’s a lot pre-established lore from the original timeline that isn’t mentioned. MK fans who played the older games will know the lore, so the gaps are automatically filled, but because you guys didn’t, there are a lot of important characters and plot points you don’t know about.

Please watch the cutscenes for Injustice: Gods Among Us. It's the same creative team and style as all of this Mortal Kombat except it's with the DC characters. Imagine all of this same level of quality except it's about Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman

First time I see Jax’s ending, and I remember the huge controversy behind it, but his ending was probably one of these least egregious ones in terms altering history yet he’s the only that got any flack for it.

Spawn not only is the coolest looking character in the game by far, he might be the best fighter... I mean he's the one character who might be more of a cheat code than scorpion is, and is funner to play as than sub zero... He's awesome man he's the one extra character who's better than the regular ones.. also night wolf is fun, night wolf and spawn became my favorite avatars over time playing MK11

Side note: The reason Phastos reacted so badly to Nagasaki was because it was his invention that caused it. His inventions didn't cause slavery.

A note about ascending to godhood in the endings, and with regard to Jacqui, she never actually ascended to godhood like Liu Kang. Liu Kang became a god because Raiden gave his powers to him, as we saw in the story. Sculpting the sands of time in the manner she did undid herself.

I think they meant in regards to some other endings, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya and some others became gods in their arcade endings as a result of defeating Kronika.

They Live is a great movie. They are aliens in it. The glasses help to see not just the aliens but also the propaganda they use. Kind of like the mainstream media being used by the government . And it has Roddy Pipers iconic line about bubble gum 😂

A lot of people are asking for fatalities and brutalities but knowing how youbare with gore. I wouldn't wish that on you. That being said. Character intros are hilarious and give added lore for characters sometimes. So maybe you could watch character intros from the game
