Did anyone else find it odd that Scorpion says "Get over here!" in English, despite not speaking a word of English in the rest of the film, including to Cole at the end, who we presume has no idea what he's saying?

@@laylamorrison9596 yea exactly 😂 the type head to toe armor that absorbs hits and turns it into kinetic energy so that the mf in the suit barely has to do anything and put any type of effort into their moves and abilities to dodge and put force into hits and shit.. But they get a pass from me as long as they make sense for the character among other things

I get what you’re saying, but the prophecy that outworld is meant lose the 10th tournament, hence the reason they were trying to get ahead of it.

Mortal Kombat 1995 is good for the story, this Mortal Kombat is good for the action and gore .....annihilation is good if you're high on bath salts or mushrooms

Annihilation was great. Cheap and rushed but lots of fun. Very much like a cutscene you'd see in a MK game at the time. If you don't like it you're just mean and like to pick on people slower than you.

So my theory is that Shang Tsung was hooking up with Nitara. He calls her beautiful of course. But notice how out of all the fighters, it's Kung Lao he kills? Probably because he was the one who killed his beloved Nitara.

I liked that subtle nod to Noob Saibot when Sub Zero was getting beat by Scorpion & Cole, he removed the blue parts of his costume leaving only the black. I wonder if they’ll add in Kuai Liang’s Sub-Zero in a sequel.

This movie would've been a better story if it followed Liu Kang and Kung Lao finding champions and overcoming outworld ambushes and Liu discovering himself as earth's true champion leading up to a tournament

yeah for sure. I know it is similar in some ways to the original but this was just lacking, I don't think Cole was necessary either considering cassie cage and Jaqui Briggs exisit but 🤷🏾♀️

Yes, I know it's more to their beef than that, but that's mainly what the movie said, that he wanted to end the Hasashi bloodline due to their rivalry and the prophecy of future generations.

Cole being Kuai Liang as twist is a much better premise imo instead of Shirai Ryu descendant who isn't have Scorpion-like powers (hellfire & ninjutsu).

I saw this in theaters and when Kano went “Womp womp” to Sonya the sound of the film was so low and subtle I thought it was someone rude in the theater. Later knowing it was actually Kano in the film made me love that character so much more than I already did.

Cole's powers make sense considering he's going to be training the fighters for the tournament of course his ability would be to absorb hits, he's going to be a literal punching bag for them

WWE superstar The Miz has shown interest in playing Johnny Cage. He is arrogant like him and kinda looks like him. Why not? He's already got the muscle. Perfect choice in my opinion.

Lmao never thought of it like that, I'm going to have to use that in arguments. But I guess no one I've argued with about the movie hasnt agreed about Cole with me, nobody seems to like him much. The actor was fine he was just written terribly, he was about as interesting as a wet piece of bread. And like I said nothing against the actor.

It had a budget of only $55 million and the only other major release until May 28th is the next Saw movie, so I think it will easily make enough money to justify a sequel.

She’s a better person than Kano in every way possible (fighting included) and he spent the whole movie nagging and bragging to her about how “worthy” he is to be a champion. I’d be pissed off too lmao. On top of that, her best friend/partner was missing for like 70% of the movie

At 8:28 where you talk about Kano going "Whah whah!", when the wife and I heard that in the theater, I totally thought some kid behind us made that noise. Later she said, "No, Kano did that." I was like, "Nah!" Then we watched it again on HBO Max, and I was like, "Hell, he did!" Lol! I'm glad he was so enjoyable in this, as Kano has been my favorite character since MK1 in 1992.

I hope Andre does review MKL: Scorpions Revenge. IMO it is the second best MK film after the 1995 one. I also want him to review the cinematic abortion that was MK Annihilation lol.

It was kinda of a let down..but i enjoyed it for the most part..it has to have a better plot and more fights..like actual martial arts skills..not this arcana crap..thats what hurt the movie..not too bad but come on..how do you train to fight just to spam special moves?..i want more real fights like blood sport..

I really love this movie. The portrayal of Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, and Kano were perfect. Raiden and Shang Tsung were fine, but not as great as the 1995 ones. Reptile was just awful. The fights were the best part. Hopefully the next one will feature the tournament.

No he's Scorpion jr. so Scorpion can be even more important because Neatheralm loves fanboying their mascot. Scorpion is the most important guy in the movie even though in the orignal game his and sub-zero's fued was a side plot.

Kevin Fiege, this movie isn't very good, except for the opening, BUT Kano is OUTSTANDING! When you finally do Wolverine do him like THIS! Make him a total asshole who the others can barely stand because that is what he was like in the comics when we first saw him!
