- Mortal Kombat is a martial arts fantasy action film directed by Simon McQuoid (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham and a story by Oren Uziel and Russo. It is based on the video game franchise of the same name created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, serving as a reboot to the Mortal Kombat film series. @@hamhockbeans This movie seems to be setting up Sub-Zero as the villain. Scorpion's family and clan were murdered by the Lin-Kuei which is Sub-Zero's clan. So I think between these two in this scene, Scorpion is the protagonist while Sub-Zero is the antagonist.

I’m not even a huge MK fan, but this trailer was heat....on top of that, at the end he stabbed him, froze his blood midair, then stabbed him AGAIN🔥 This trailer made me wanna get on my PlayStation and download MKX IMMEDIATELY!

This looks amazing!! This is how I pictured a Mortal Kombat film. Not sure what they're gonna do with the Cole Young character. Aside from him being a random character, everything else looks on point. The fight scenes will be orgasmic. I can't wait to see this film. Mortal Kombat continues!!!! FINISH HIM!!!! TERRANCE OUT

I've watched every trailor reaction there is for the last 3 days. From the moment I wake up to when I fall asleep. I've watched this one the most. At least 30 times. Your reaction is the closest thing to how I feel about this trailor. Never been so pumped for a movie ever and never been so proud to be an OG MK fan!!!

That trailer took me back to my childhood. I’m not even talking about the other MK movies. I mean the original arcades. That first time I saw MK2 at my local arcade and I spazzed out and annoyed the hell out of my father for quarters. That same feeling. I hope the movie lives up to that.

I almost had a tear in my eye watching this trailer, I know how corny that sounds but I grew up doing martial arts and Mortal Kombat came out during that time and we were all obsessed and everyone used the Mortal Kombat music at tournaments for their demonstrations. Also they are putting so much love and respect on the MK name it is just glorious. Can't wait to see this movie.

This is legit the best trailer for a movie in the history of cinema in my honest opinion. I’ve watched this trailer well over 30 times. It’s that good. You wanna talk about showing love to the source material, this trailer alone has that in buckets. We ain’t ready for this movie. Yet we are ready for this movie. Ima have to subscribe. I had this SAME reaction when I first saw the trailer. I was done for. I love mortal kombat. This trailer damn near brought tears.
