Of course I'm bias but yes ;). If you want something a little more beginner friendly though, use my PS4 version. Though take note that there is a glitch on the PS4 version which doesn't work on the Enhanced PS5 version and that I kinda glitch the last boss on PS4 which no longer works and I do it the correct way on this PS5 version

Not soon, I need to do it, but I've got other stuff prioritised atm. I also had my PS5 lock up from R&C if you saw me saying and I lost most my saves including HZD. So when I get to it, first I have to get to the end of the game again and a platinum save ;(

For the Sugar Rush trophy, yea that should always work unless they remove that in-game backup option, but you must be quick with it before the game backs it up again itself

Its just one of the things u get from killing a boss, you can give them all to the prisoner, or keep hold off them like here

Ur moving in too quick or away too slow, there is like a AOE to it slightly, it's not just being hit by it, but just outside of that getting hit zone, basically where ur character usually comes in contact with the fire, a step or 2 outside that can still burn u

I'm not that great mate, just practiced a lot. You could make a Save Backup, then go and get a Shell and practice with that, then when ready, restore save and resume no shell....... I learnt with a shell and then progressed onto no shell, going from no practice straight to no shell could be very tricky

Oh, yeah, I suffer for so many bugs in the boss fight, puts me down for so many times. Map crashes, boss disappearing, water waves not showing but killed me, fall down somewhere and I cannot stand, boss jumping and jumping for a minute or two… when I finally get a good boss fight I really was prepared for that. Very satisfying

Great to hear mate, except the bugs, the boss disappearing made me laugh when I was playing XD, like he despawns because he is too scared of you having the balls to face him with no armor

Yes, that will be next mate, just wanted to do this first and sorta refamiliarise myself with the game. I've spent a lot of time on DLC so far and have some very useful vids to come to shorten it time on it and get u all the good stuff quicker etc

Not really mate, faster loading times and I think PS4 is a little buggier

Katana running R2 is way OP, especially with Annointed Butcher!! That will likely be last one of the vids I do for it, doing fast way to unlock Hadern and Axatana first, then fast way to get all shades, then fast way to farm, then the Cycle completions, and finally the no shells xD. Are you enjoying the DLC, fun isn't, but grindy ;)

@@Optinooby it is a lot of fun and grindy cause you have to beat it 7 times and get all lutes max familiar

You can do the lutes on Story Mode, but yea, the 7 Seeds is grindy

The glimpse isn't needed for anything, I thought u had to beat him without getting hit, doesn't trophy say that??

Have you been using this one or my longer one?? I don't think this one is much harder actually, you just need to be familiar with the game already (sounds like u are) because learning the game in 1-shot mode would be very frustrating I'd imagine I've just gotta add my VC shell/Foundling/Obsidian runs and I'm done with Mortal Shell for now It is a great game, I look forward to a sequel if we get ome

Yea I'm so glad that little exploit worked for that, think it may have been a 30-45 min tar grind without it, stupid trophy that Sugar Rush because the game is real stingy on tar

You can't mate, I tried it at release. The moment you equip a shell, it's permanently saved to ur character, going into NG+, it's still saved as same character. You cant get Axatana for any no shell because when u beat Hadern, his shell gets auto-equipped. Not sure if you could cheat it though by quickly warping away from his arena after winning??

It's a shame cuz the Axatana is awesome, also doing No Shell in NG+ would be easier because ideally, all items would be maxed meaning you could just Ornate Tokens to avoid damage. All the Trophy Guides will say it doesn't work, but they are mainly assumptions because one may be think "Well if I go INTO NG+ without a shell, maybe it will work.....". I had this exact thought and as always, I have to actually test stuff properly as I don't like to assume, and yea, didn't pop. So even equipping Obsidian Shell and going into NG+ without a shell, yea won't work mate. All you can try is seeing if you can exit Haderns arena as soon as you beat him, I don't even think u can warp from there though as usually in boss arenas, warps don't work. It would be a case of quitting to main menu and hoping for the best. Axatana won't make it much easier mate, the problem I find is navigating areas, 1 mistake and ur toast. The bosses just take a bit of practice to learn them, same with or without the axatana

I actually have a save where I have Hadern in the hub ready to fight. I need to beat him anyway, if you gimme a few hours, I have a play and see if there is a way around it, beating him, unlocking the Axatana but without auto equipping his shell!!

I would have been, but they added the DLC trophies and only the 100% time is shown. The Platinum can be done this quick, but the DLC literally takes like 10 hours going fast, it's daft xD

It's the transport medal or somet, I forget the name, it's DLC related and not needed mate, just like the Rotten Food isn't needed. It's a rare consumable in the DLC which warps u to another area

My PS4 guide is different because there is mega exploit over there to respawn items, respawn/despawn bosses, start at NG+ but on the NG post game world (so all bosses beaten, but everything else is respawned etc). But on PS5 the mega exploit isnt possible, so its why I do it a little different here

Works well, just a theory I had and seemed to work out ;) I was doing some testing on Xbox recently for a Trophy Guide, and this is pretty much how you utilise save backups on Xbox if you wanna do 2 x ending trophies for example at once. It's tricky because you need to be fast and Xbox requires switching between Online/Offline, but good it works. Come to think off it, can't recall if we also went Offline/Online for this, but that could have been a good way here to prevent the risk of auto-upload in the backgroup. Once you get the auto-upload you want, go Offline so it doesn't backup anymore, then only go Online on the main menu to download the save, then go Offline again ;), bit more of a secure method

@@Optinooby Interesting, but your guide didn't show switching from offline/online. I just made sure that I was immediately backing out to main menu after using up all the tar. I also made a back up save on ps cloud just in case the restore save was overwritten somehow.

It's because we didn't need to here, it's something I figured out on the Xbox Series X, not for this game, just in general for any game as the Xbox auto-uploads saves as default and it's very similar to how Mortal Shell does it. Reason you have to go Offline/Online on the Xbox is because when your Online, it auto-uploads when you close a game, though doesn't matter with this game as it has its own in-game backup. I had to go Offline/Online on Xbox when trying to exploit Xbox backups, not in-game backups. The idea just applies here also is all I'm saying, I could have, for another safety measure, that each time we downloaded the backup from the Mortal Shell save file slot, we could have gone Offline instantly, that way there would have been no worry of if auto-uploading while you were spending the money!! Then you would just go Online, then download, then go Offline, spend the money and repeat ;)

It's up to you mate, the PS4 guide is more beginner friendly, though 2 things were patched. A little warp trick I do after bosses, you will know what to do anyway instead and the last boss fight is very different. So for the last boss fight, no matter what guide u use, the PS5 version will need checking for the last boss strategy (PS4 last boss strategy is outdated)

It maybe because you haven't unlocked their names?? I did a bit of testing with it back then, and what I found was just a single equip of a shell and u can kiss the trophy goodbye. I also tried equipping Obisidan Shell at the end of NG, then going into NG+ so technically in that playthrough, I hadn't equipped a Shell, but no, still didn't unlock! I even tried with Haderns new Shell from DLC which auto-equips when you beat him (impossible to get the Axatana on a No Shell without voiding it), I took it off straight away, still didn't pop even with a auto-equip Shell! You can't touch a Shell at all mate, will need a clean file, once you touch one it saves in the background to the Character

I’ve been doing same as you for second phase, harden then special but I only have the 4 bars to do this twice, but on your video you’re was filling up for use every attack (I have upgraded hallowed sword with item that gives quicker orange bars).

@@DanielJamesShirley Oh the special bar thingy, when it fills up you use your special, resolve is it?? Its slow building until you get the resolve upgrade, that crucifix looking thing, you have that yes?? I usually get that at the start. Resolve building slower is usually because you dont have the upgrade that makes you gain more resolve..

You dont, I popped it just fine without those multiple times (maybe 10+ times while testing stuff) and you're the first to say this about the guide. Did i show my list at the end and did you compare?? Could have glitched, also possible the server glitched on PS5 as it does. If the trophy server glitches, you need to wait a day or so, or go offline and then see if the trophy is in your list

Only while the mist is present, if it isn't u must talk to the guy in Fallgrim Tower on same floor as the weapons, give him 1 glimpse to make mist appear

Yea I guess so mate, anything important I bring up so you should be ok following on the move. Doing everything no shell can be tricky so just to let you if you wanna do it differently, my PS4 playthrough does 2 playthroughs, 100% with a Shell and then a any% No Shell run afterwards, does take longer though of course ;)

The PS5 is short, but tricky to do so ur time will be longer, if u wanna get closer to the video time, u wanna follow the PS4 version, it's a more realistic time for a newcomer Somethings have been patched though, for example the last boss strategy I use, but what u can do then is watch my PS5 fight as that is on current patch! There is just that change and a little warping skip was patched but not a big problem, just means u must travel back on foot, but u will know the way and what I mean when it hapoens

Oh man now I'm getting worried. I did it on the ps4 by taking my time and playing it safe on the last boss. Hope it's not really worse than before.

@@mac1bc I don't know if it is worse or not. The DLC is fun, but won't plat that either. I got most of the trophies. but little bugs they havnt fixed, like getting stuck in things and not being able to move, or animations throwing you off cliffs when a run is almost over etc. have stopped me from finishing. I got 5 of the i think 7 required seeds, and nearly had finished the no shell run, but killing an enemy, my guy attacked, the camera angle moved and because i was locked on it interacted with the movement weirdly, and he attacked himself right off a ledge. I uninstalled after that and decided that was enough mortal shell lol.

I'd shorten it to more of a roadmap mate, but I won't be doing it anyway. I'd have to invest too much time and I'd rather focus on other stuff
