Back in 1998 I found this album in a DC Punk music store. I couldn’t stop laughing at for weeks. I shared it with friends with who it is STILL to this day an ongoing joke. Hear something move in the attic? It’s probably Mortiis. I love this album now, and I’ll probably never not laugh my ass off at the cover art.

Just went and saw the Goblin last night in Denver, era 1 dark synth. He comes on stage and never says a word just plays his early music. I never have been to a show quite like that one. He was in full persona and was amazing to watch just playing his synth and having the background artwork reflect the music. Simple yet powerful. His new album of dungeon synth is pretty awesome as well but in a different tone than this one.

Back in 2002 I grabbed this CD at a Rasputin Records based off of the front cover alone. And what a surprise. Epic fantasy tunes 🤟😈

As soon as this masterpiece begins to play I find myself in another world, another dimension. An ancient beautiful world full of wonders and imbued with mysteries and magic. Dragons are flying over me and other magical creatures are all around. Also noble handsome knights dedicated to serve justice and truth and to gain glory... and wow! I'm one of them too!

The music is cool, like a film score for a straight-to-TV Conan rip-off. That album cover is just hilarious. It looks like he's floating back to hell after all the people in the village laughed at him.

I seen him live doing this album with Godhead and Christian death (which never showed of course) But He (Mortiis) was a God send..... Just pure ART!!!!!!!!!!! I'm from kc Missouri. I even bought the vinyl there and still years later have it and play it.. Love you Mortiis!!!!!!!!!!!

this is my favorite mortiis album, followed by anden som gjorde oppror and the smell of rain. love the goofy artwork but joke aside, it deserves a better cover illustration. not that anybody asked me for my opinion, but ok.

I just can't get past that TERRIBLE cover "art." That MS Paint image of him floating awkwardly there with cheesy fake bat wings and a crotch skull is just so seventh grade goth parody that it makes me cringe hard.
