Sometimes days, weeks or years in between but everytime I return to this album I discover something new in it and myself.

The best dark folk/atmospheric black metal album in the world

You're doing yourself a disservice if you haven't listened through the rest Agalloch's discography. If you especially like the folk elements, I would recommend checking out The White EP and Of Stone, Wind, & Pillor. Also if you ever have a chance to see them live, DO IT!! They headlined the metal & beer fest in Denver and it was one of the best live performances I've ever witnessed

the build-up on In The Shadow Of Our Pale Companion from 12:42 until it releases all the tension to deliver the perfect guitar solo on 14:23 with that lick should be considered one of the most important moments in metal history

I cann't recall the band's name. Music was similar to this one. The cover artwork is painted color and some stone obelisk is in first plan. Band's got two albums only instrumental. Forgot the name. Please, remind me.

Larga vida a Agalloch.
